The next morning, Katie was now at the airport together with Tim and Elliot. After the conversation with Grey, she had decided to accept the offer and go to Chicago. Tim was not entirely satisfied with her decision, but he couldn't do anything. And deep inside him, he was happy for her because maybe she would then open up completely to him again.

"I will miss you," Katie said when she now had to say goodbye to the two boys because otherwise she would miss her flight. "You're only gone for a week, right? And we can talk on the phone every night before I put Elliot to sleep." Tim suggested and nodding Katie confirmed his suggestion, so she wouldn't miss the two so much. "That's a great idea," she said and then finally said goodbye to the two and then made her way through the security check and then to boarding.

As soon as she arrived in Chicago, her sister would pick her up at the airport so that Katie could bring her things to Hailey's apartment before the two would go to work. But first she had to take the worst thing. Survive a 4-hour flight.

She was happy to finally see Hailey again. The two had not seen each other since Hailey went to Chicago to accept a job offer. Katie and Hailey always had the closest relationship with each other. Almost the same age, the same interests, the same hobbies, their curiosity. She was the only one who understood how Hailey felt and helped her find herself again. They had not planned to move away from each other so far, but it had happened before they could do anything about it. Hailey had gone to Chiacgo and Katie stayed in LA.

3 hours and 55 minutes later, the plane finally landed safely on the ground and the passengers were able to leave the plane. All that was missing was her suitcase. When Katie finally had it, she was now looking for the blonde at the exit.

"Katie!!" Suddenly someone called behind her and when she turned around she discovered the blonde-haired standing with a man. The two sisters happily ran towards each other and fell into each other's arms. "God. I missed you so much," Hailey said when the two broke away from each other again. "I have missed you too. We are never allowed to report to each other for so long." Katie decided and got a few agreeing noises from her counterpart.

"Don't you even want to introduce me to your friend behind?" Katie asked with a smile and pointed to the man behind them. "Oh, I almost forgot that." Hailey laughed and her sister just shook her head laughing. "So Katie, this is Jay Halstead. He is my partner....ummm and he is my... Boyfriend." she introduced her to Jay. The two shook hands in a friendly way. "Nice to meet you. Hailey didn't stop talking about you when Voight told us that you were coming." Jay laughed at his girlfriend, who also gave him a small punch to the shoulder. "You don't have to be embarrassed,Hails," Katie laughed. "Enough now.. we should bring your things to my apartment and then drive to the district." Hailey now distracted so the three got into Jay's truck and drove off.

The things were quickly put down and they had already arrived.

"May I introduce people? This is Detective Katie Winters from LA. My....my sister." Hailey proudly presented her colleague her sister, who also welcomed them all positively. Katie was immediately involved in small conversations and questioned. Hailey happily watched the whole situation.

Half an hour later, Kim and Adam set out to meet a guy named David to find out about a few guns. In the end, however, Kim used the code word because she was sure that the man had felt her protective vest she was wearing. Turned out she was right, because as they approached him, he shot at the two. So the others stepped in and a bullet hit Davis. He died.

So back in the bullpen, they set out to check everything they had to him again. Through the GPS on his car, they could find out that he was in a depot in the hinterland that happened to be the home of his regional gun show. So they decided that Jay and Kim would go undercover as buyers, while Katie, Hailey and Kevin would also be there as a backup. The rest of the troops would stay on the territory and search through the paperwork again.

Kim heard the boys talk about incomprehensible guns, so she approached them and gave them a story to make herself credible. They showed her the gun after she told them that she had to see the gun before she gave them the money. They ran outside with her. Jay noticed that the security guard wasn't informed about the illegal deal, so he told his colleagues.

"We have a problem. The security guards will burst the deal. Keep an eye on Kim," he demanded. "Understood." it came from Hailey, who warned her sister and Kevin. Jay, on the other hand, approached the security guard and walked past the boys and Kim. "Detective Halstead. CPD," he said to the security guard. "So?" He just asked him.

"Look, um.. we're working on a case with AFT and the two guys you have in mind are part of the operation," Jay explained to him. "Nobody informed me about this," his counterpart complained. "Roy, do you have a place where we can talk? Because that's important," Jay asked him, who was in a hurry to get him away so that he wouldn't make a wrong move. They went together when Hailey, Katie and Kevin were targeted by Kim.

"Mm-hmm. There they are." Kevin drew the attention of the two women. "All right, we'll follow them on foot." Hailey decided and took off her headphones and left the car followed by her sister. "Be careful!" Kevin still called after them and continued to keep an eye on the situation.

In the meantime, the boys dragged Kim further down the parking lot and talked to her, while Katie and Hailey followed them at a good distance. But their distance was probably not far enough, because one of the men noticed the two and stopped. "What are you doing?" Kim asked and watched him closely. And his partner also asked him what was going on. "Someone is following us," he said, pointing to the two girls.

"Hey Jay.. Where are you man? Maybe you want to get out of here." Kevin called into his radio and watched the whole thing go down the drain.

"Man. I told you police is over these things," the partner told his friend who still had Hailey and Katie in his eye. "Blonde chick with the brunette," he said and pointed to the two as Kim turned in the direction in which she pointed.

"Oh, please relax. They belong to me.." she said and waved to them. "Hey Allie.Luna!" She called and caught her attention. The two turned to Kim, knowing that they had been discovered. "The two work together with me in the store," she explained to the men who looked at her questioningly.

"Hey? What's up?" Hailey asked her and walked towards Burgess. "Nothing, everything is cool. We'll check out a few weapons." Kim fake informed the two. "Great." it came from Katie and Kim agreed with her nodding. "Why are you two following?" The guy wanted to know, still unsure about the presence of the two women. "We saw our girlfriend go away with two strange guys. It's the girl code, buddy." Katie smiled and then turned back to the actual point. "Then let's go look at the weapons."

"Okay, then go," he said and pulled the three behind him, completely from Kevin's point of view, so he made a walk with Jay on his way to catch them.

"Where are we man?" Jay wanted to know about his partner and was looking for the three women. "They disappeared behind the pavilion. To make a deal behind a truck," Kevin informed him. "We don't have enough guys to cover that," Jay said stressed when the two quickly ran to the back of the building.
