In the back of Jackson and Angela's car, Katie now drove in front of the ambulance in the direction of the hospital, they didn't want to take her in the ambulance for the reason that it would be too dangerous for her and the baby, where Angela had also agreed right away, so Chen drove there. But before she could get out, shots sounded.
"Adam 7-15, firefight. Officer needs help. Shaw Memorial." Lopez sparked to the headquarters. Katie quickly grabbed her own gun and looked for cover carried on one of the stone columns and shot from there at the perpetrator, who had now also hit one of the nurses.
Nolan, who just wanted to shoot, noticed but his magazine was empty and wanted to change it, which gave the perpetrator time to reload her weapon. But before she could shoot, a shot was fired from the direction of the ambulance. Tim, he was back on his feet and was able to land a hit.
But now his girlfriend was not well, because she had fallen unconscious a few moments later.

"There she is again." Katie first heard her sister's voice when she regained consciousness. "What.. happened?" She wanted to know and now also discovered Tim sitting at the end of the bed. "You fainted, Miss Winters. Probably because of the stress in the last few hours, that all values are in the green area," explained the doctor who was also in the room. "What about the baby?" Katie asked in a panic out of fear that there was something with baby. "He's fine. What they need now is rest," the doctor said before Katie signed the discharge papers and they made their way home with Tim and Natalie.
"I'm fine. I won't break if I put on something else." Katie complained to her boyfriend, who was now running at her step and following. "In addition, you should rest just like me," she commented and then grabbed a few things from the closet and changed in the bathroom. When she came back out of the bathroom, the two sat down together on the bed and watched a series together on Katie's laptop.
Two weeks later
In the last two weeks, Katie had finally met Natalie's boyfriend and his son in person because they had come over for dinner.
Since Katie and Tim were now expecting a child, she had decided to take a step back. She had to register for the detective exam and would bridge the pregnancy with learning if she then had to go on maternity leave, until then she would no longer work to the fullest extent.
Talia was no longer on guard but now worked somewhere else. The rookies had written their exams, but were still very curious to know their results.
And Wesley had now moved in with Angela. He didn't like all the mess with her at all.

"All Right, Guys. Sto stop their conversations and sit down. Any idea what these numbers mean?" Grey wanted to know after he had written a 97, a 91 and an 81 on the board.
"These are the results of our first test," Nolan suspected and was even right with this assumption. Everyone had passed. But this 81 was unpleasant...since you would fail with an 80, so he just passed.
"Who has so little??" Angela wanted to know with a grin. Everyone suspected that it was Nolan who had so few points, but everyone should be mistaken. And now the rookies should tell Grey at the end of the shift what score they would attribute to themselves.
"Sir, does it have consequences for the officer with the 81?" Lucy asked curiously. "Officer Lopez wants her to answer that?" Grey asked her. "Merciless mockery for months will probably be the least," she answered and shaken Chen and the other rookies a little. Nobody wanted the 81 points. Then Grey dismissed his people.
"Do you worry?" Angela smiled as they waited for the rookies with their best friends. "I've never had a rookie who had so few points," Tim returned acidified. "There is a first time for everything." his girlfriend laughed at him now, too. "No. Officer Chen is a real examination candidate. Nolan doesn't even have a college degree. In addition, Chen had me as a coach. Nolan had Bishop," he kept nagging. "You're blaspheming about her even though she's not here to defend herself?" Katie asked him with raised eyebrows. "Yes. That's not the same," he clarified for himself. "Even if she were here, you would have to fight for the second place," Angela said before Lucy approached her and Tim commanded her long-sleeved shirt to put on a tie again.
"I'm looking for Grey, hopefully he's not on the road with Nolan yet," Katie hoped and said goodbye to her boyfriend with a kiss and a short hug from her best friend. Fortunately, he wasn't gone yet.
"Sargent Grey? Can I briefly discuss something with you?" Katie asked and knocked briefly on his door beforehand. "Sure. Come in." he answered and pointed to the chair in front of him. "So what can I do for you Officer Winters?" He asked. "So... um... I'm pregnant... and I thought that I'm still working until I go on maternity leave, not so intensively anymore but still working. And during that time I would like to learn for the detective exams and then write them.... And if I can work again, then as a detective," she also talked right away. And to her surprise, Grey was convinced of this idea.
"If you don't mind me asking... Who is the father?" He wanted to know. Katie briefly thought about whether she wanted to tell him the relationships within the guard were not very welcome, but what could you do about your feelings? "Tim.." she then simply said briefly and concisely, then there was a few seconds of silence in the room.
"I'm happy for both of you, even if I'm not happy that you didn't say anything before. But I know that you can both do it and your work performance is not affected," he said before Katie went to work herself.
