When Lucy and Tim arrived at the station, Katie had also found him in the changing room. In a bloody shirt. His seam from the gunshot wound had burst.

Carefully, she grabbed a few swabs and a plaster from her locker at the end of the aisle and sat down on the bench in front of Tim.

She carefully dabbed the blood from his skin, with him moaning a few quietly in pain. "I'm sorry," she always apologized with a whisper. After she was finished, she glued the patch to the wound and smoothed it with her fingers. Before she reached into his locker behind Tim to get out a fresh shirt and her breath brushed his chest.

That made both falter. They both wanted it, but both didn't know if they should really do it. A few seconds later, when their lips came closer and closer to each other, they then lay on top of each other and harmonized perfectly with each other. They fit together perfectly. Tim's hands were found in her dark blonde hair and her hands were on his chest.

But the two were interrupted by a metallic noise and quickly detached themselves from each other and when Katie turned around she discovered Lucy, Nolan and Naomi standing there.

"Parker!! Come along!" Katie demanded after she had briefly cleaned her throat and straightened her hair that was a little tangled.

"Do you want to talk about what I saw?" Parker asked her trainer with a grin, but Katie shook her head. She first had to process herself what had happened and if she would talk to someone then it was Angela even if she knew that Tim would also talk to her.

When they arrived at the guard again, they were all immediately called to the office by Sargent Grey. It was about the zombie robbers.

"All right, let's start. Our targets are Steve Bower and Kai de Vera, something like an old couple. Bower is known to have six severe 707 and a lot of collateral damage on the Kerbholz. De Vera had two assignments as a on-board shooter on a Black Hawk has disappeared until she reappeared with Bower about a year ago. Remember, she is significantly more dangerous than him. Sargent Laubacher will write to her. He has the command tonight, so pay attention." Captain Anderson also begins to introduce the target persons right away.

"Thank you Captain. Our target persons are in a house in the dunes above the Sunset Strip. Access is limited. So we will storm. Team 1, will take the main entrance. Use blind grenades and burglary tools. Team 2 breaks open the glass door at the back of the house. Tactical support: They cover the outer circle. Sargent Grey knows where they stand. We will go through the tasks in detail on the journey. My team: Let's go!!" Sargent Laubacher explains the project.

"All right. Of course, we could do the matter within five minutes without blinding grenades and professional athletes, but the SWAT team wants us as a security service. Therefore, make sure they take it seriously. I don't want to be ashamed at the next picnic with the special forces." Sargent Grey explained our task to me before we all made our way there.

Angela, Jackson, Talia, John, Katie and Naomi all met at a street intersection further down from the actual finishing point to be able to walk further there.

"Cassive that must be like down here," Naomi complained as she ran towards her rookie friends. "Get used to patroling is the lower drawer, with such work assignments," Talia scolded the rookie. "Pushing the guard is one of the necessary tasks of the police, you can't look down on it." Jackson defended the work they had to do all day, more or less.

"Is he serious?" Katie asked her best friend Angela, who just nodded and then said. "Yes. He just doesn't have a plan B." "What?? That's insane." Talia also intervened in the conversation. "I listen to the garbage all day," Officer West complained and sighed when Angela turned to Nolan. "Officer Nolan, this is your plan B, is it?" "No. More like the plan D. First it was an astronaut, then law studies, then the construction industry and then that. If that doesn't work, I'll try the cosmetics school," he replied when shots sounded.

"Shell we go up?" Naomi asked with her hand all the time on her gun. "No, but we have to spread out in the area," Katie explained and ran away with Naomi in front.

"Change of shot. Suspects are fugitives."

It then sounded over the radio and before Katie could get through, she drove through a severe pain and a loud bang and the next moment she lay on the floor.

One of the bullets from the weapon of one of the suspects had come loose and hit her.

Not exactly slowly the blood flowed from the wound on her shoulder. Naomi quickly squeezed out her shirt and pressed it on the wound so that she could try to stop it. "Stay with me. Stay with me," she asked her instructor when she realized that she was slowly closing her eyes.

"Officer shot. Officer Winters on the ground. She... she is no longer approachable. Send.... Send help!!! And quickly. I don't know how long she hasn't." she spoke anxiously over the radio and hoped that help came.

*****

Five minutes later, the ambulance came and Katie was also immediately connected to all kinds of devices she had in there and connected the wound as well as possible until they arrived at the hospital and she could be operated on.

Naomi was still standing there at one place and watched the ambulance drive away, she couldn't move. It was as if everything around her was a veil.

"I quit." she whispered to herself and still stared into the void.
