And once again Katie found herself at the district, but this time not for positive reasons. Captain Anderson had been killed in an operation. She was not allowed to work again yet, but she still wanted to be there for her colleagues, not to let them down. Especially Nolan doesn't.

With trembling hands, she tried to pull the black ribbon over her brand when a few hands lay over hers and carefully pushed it over. It was Tim.

After the night the two had spent together, they were constantly found together somewhere when Katie was found at the district. They had not discussed what that was between them, but they enjoyed it.

"There will be time to mourn later. We have to finish a job. Midas has given up his son. We know where he is. I know what it looks like in their hearts. And what they want to do more than anything else. And I would lie if I said I didn't want that. It is said that whoever kills a policeman will never see a cell from the inside. But that...is not what Captain Anderson would have wanted. To shoot this rivet would not honor her memory, to do our work already. And we owe it to her to do our work right. Agreed?" Sargent Grey asked and everyone was in agreement.

"Hey... I have to go to the physio. See you later?" Katie said goodbye to her best friend when everyone was on their way and briefly put her lips on his before she disappeared. And she didn't notice how they were watched by a grinning Angela.

When Katie arrived at the hospital, Katie also immediately made her way to the physio. Her therapist was already waiting for her. But not in their normal work clothes but in everyday clothes.

"We don't work here today, but go together to a place where you can put the function of your shoulder to the show," Dr. Ivy Miles said and asked Katie to follow her. And so they were now standing at a shooting range 20 minutes later.

"I want to know how well you can handle a weapon again. If you pass this test, I will send you back to work, but I will see you at least once a week for another meeting. Agreed?" Dr. Miles wanted to know about Katie after she saw the questioning look her patient had thrown at her. Katie nodded quickly. That was her chance to finally go back to work.

So the two signed up and Katie got a gun and stood at one of the targets. Shot by shot, she fired one cartridge after another and everyone landed in the middle, just as she was used to from herself, never hitting next to it.

Grinning, she turned to her physiotherapist. Dr. Miles knew that Katie was ready again. Day after day she had made her exercises exemplary and adhered to all the information given to her. that was actually just another test so that she was finally sure that Katie was ready. And she was.

When she arrived home, Tim was already waiting in his car at her front door and then greeted her with a kiss before the two made themselves comfortable on their sofa.

"I am allowed to go back to work," she told him after learning that they could take Mida's son into custody. "What?" Tim asked again because he was sure to have misunderstood the whole thing. "I can go back to work. Dr. Miles has declared me able to work." she repeated and the next moment she found herself in the arms of her best friend... or steady friend... what were they now... again.

But before the two could do anything else, Katie broke away again and threw up in the bathroom.

"Everything okay?" Tim asked, who had followed her and now held her hair out of her face. "Yes, everything is fine. I probably just ate something wrong," she said and washed her face when she was finished.

Together, the two lay down in bed and cuddled together. Just to spend a little time. But after a while, Katie ran back into the bathroom and threw up again.

"Are you really sure you're okay?" Tim shouted out of the bedroom worriedly. "I think I'm getting sick." she called back and then dragged herself back to bed exhausted. "I'll make you something to eat and you'll rest here." he offered and covered his girlfriend so that she could get a hat of sleep.

During the time he prepared a chicken soup for her, he could also think about how he could ask her if Katie wanted to be his girlfriend. Because he wanted it to work between the two on all levels, which had not worked with Isabel as he hoped. She had fallen into an addiction without him being able to do anything about it. If something like this should happen to Katie, he wanted to be there for her all the way, Isabel had run away and didn't want to be helped by him.

Two or three hours later, Katie woke up very sleepy and dragged herself into the living room where Tim sat comfortably on the sofa and watched a movie. "Hey." she drew attention to herself and leaned against the door frame. "Hey... slept well?" Tim wanted to know and knocked on the sofa next to him, which should mean something like "Sit down with me." "Yes.. I feel much better too. But you didn't have to stay here all the time," she said and snuggled up in the side.

"But I wanted to stay," he answered and pressed a kiss on his girlfriend's forehead. And so they ended up watching the movie together
