Suddenly I cut Aria off, "So who do you like? Do you like someone?" hoping for a specific answer.

"That Alex chick is cute" Cara says trying to cover a big grin coming to her face.

"Oh really?" I say smirking a bit.

"Yeah, but enough about me what's your story, blondie?" Cara asks inquisitively with a grin still on her face.

"Well," I shift around a bit uncomfortable, my hands getting sweaty from nerves. I normally wouldn't just say this to anybody, but after what Cara's just said, I feel like I should be able to trust them.

"I'm not your typical person," I start.

"Yeah we noticed that," Cara says. What exactly does she mean by that? Probably by my popularity.

"Anyway," I glare at Cara a bit as she says that. "There was probably a time when my Mum was sane, but after Dad left I guess she just changed. I never knew my Dad, Mum says he left her the day I was born." Aria has a sympathetic look on her face. Cara has this look like she's trying to work out if I'm lying. "My Grandma used to look after me a lot, I mean Mum was always working so she didn't have time to look after me. I became pretty self sufficient you know. Anyway, she started going out late each night when I was 13, said I would be fine home alone. She would always be there in the morning, but this morning she wasn't. She always talked about living while she was young, but hello, that ended ten years ago."

Cara's face softens and she looks like she's deep in thought. "But your life looks so glamorous and perfect," I hear Aria say looking at the ground.

"You know what you see isn't always the truth, but I guess you know that now," I respond to her.

Everyone just sits there in silence, thinking about life I guess, at least that's what I'm doing.
Suddenly Aria makes the most human contact I've seen her make in a while. She nudges my arm and snuggles against me. Maybe it's the alcohol.
"Dads aren't all their cracked up to be," She mumbles sweetly between yawns. "Trust me. I would know."
I stare at at confused. She closes her eyes looking so innocent.
"Mine just cheats on my workaholic mother with women half his age."
Aria falls silently and I reckon she's asleep.
"Leave her," Cara says.

I stay sitting there for a bit and there is coldness in there as Cara and I just sit there not knowing what to say. "I really need to get back out to Tyler," I tell Cara and I don't know what to do because Aria will wake up if I move away. "Hey, can you come here and swap places with me," Cara looks somewhat uneasy about that, but she does anyway. Carefully we lift Aria slightly and Cara swaps places with me. I get up and head for the door, "You better not go around telling people what you hear, or you'll regret it," Cara puts a look on her face to say 'ooh I'm so scared' but then she smiles. I don't think she is going to tell anyone.
