The girlfriend

"Suki you're dating Sokka? You're sooooo lucky!" Said a girl to Suki the next morning in class.
"Yeah he asked me out yesterday" said Suki, smiling.
"Oh my god, lucky girl! Tell us how everything goes! Like if he's a good kisser and all, I'm sure he is"
"Yeah, I'll tell you guys" said Suki with a giggle

"Ugh so when she starts dating Sokka she's praised and called lucky but when I sleep with him I'm shamed for it and called a slut?!" Azula says to Mai and Ty lee after hearing the conversation.
"Yeah it doesn't make too much sense" says Ty lee
"The hypocrisy is surreal. And as for Sokka, it's his loss. He downgraded pretty hard if you ask me"
"Why? Are you jealous?" Says Mai.
"Jealous?! Why the hell would I be jealous?!"
"I don't know, just asking like that..."
"Well I'm not jealous, ok?"

They continue talking until Suki walks up to them and is looking at Azula.
"Can I help you?" Says Azula to her.
"Yeah I just want to warn you not to try anything funny on Sokka" Suki replies.
"What... ok, wasn't planning on it"
"Sure you weren't. I know how you are"
"Sure you do. Look, I don't want Sokka, he's all yours"
"Yeah I know. The fact that you slept with him first doesn't mean anything. He's with me now. We talked about it and he said he never felt anything for you and it was purely physical and just a mistake"
"Yeah I know, I feel the same."

Even though she already knew all that and how Sokka felt about her, hearing it sort of made her feel something. Sad maybe? She didn't know what but for some reason those words hit her. Why was she feeling like this about Sokka?

"Good, I'm watching you" said Suki as she walked away.

"Yo Sokka is it true you asked out Suki?" Said a guy to Sokka.
"Um yeah, why?" Sokka replied.
"Well because how come you asked her out? I mean you had Azula"
"No, I never had Azula. She was never my girlfriend. She was just some girl I slept with"
"Well then why didn't you make her your girlfriend?"
"Because I don't want her to be my girlfriend"
"And you'd rather have Suki?"
"Yeah, I would. She's pretty and much nicer"
"Well yeah, Suki is pretty but like you had Azula... you can only downgrade from there"
"Uh I don't really agree..."
"So you're telling me you find Suki hotter than Azula?"
"Um yeah..."
"Liar"
"Well I find Suki more attractive in general. Maybe at first glance Azula is prettier but once you get to know her you see just how ugly she can be. Suki is super sweet and caring and I think I could have something good with her"
"Ok man, whatever floats your boat..."

"Ok class, today we'll be doing worksheets. You'll need to be in pairs to finish the worksheets this class. Stick your desk with the person next to you and that's who your partner will be" said the math teacher after the bell rang.

Sokka and Azula looked at each other sighed. They stuck their desks together and received the worksheet from the teacher.

"So you and Suki are together now?" Asked Azula
"Yeah, I asked her out. Why do you care?"
"I don't. I'm just asking because she basically threatened me this morning"
"What do you mean she threatened you?"
"She came up to me and was saying how I better not try anything on her because she's with you and blah blah blah"
"Really? Why would she say that?"
"Are you stupid? Because we slept together obviously"
"Oh right... yeah well that didn't mean anything anyways"
"Yeah exactly. Just tell her to chill out"
"Well I did talk to her about it and I told her that it was no big deal and how I feel nothing for you"
"Good, I feel nothing for you either"
"Good... oh and by the way, did you get in trouble?"
"Yeah of course I did. I got grounded for a month and don't have my phone for a week"
"Well I'm grounded for a month but I didn't lose my phone"
"Well it's my stupid mom that took my phone"
"Hey don't call your mom stupid"
"She is though. She hates me"
"Come on, I'm sure your mom doesn't hate you. You're just saying that because you got in trouble and she punished you"
"Well you can't speak because you don't know my mom. She's stupid and I don't get along with her. She always makes my life so difficult"
"Well you shouldn't complain, at least you have a mom"
"Hm, sometimes I wish I didn't"
"Don't say that, you don't know how lucky you are"
"And you don't know my life, so shut up"
"Whatever, let's just finish the work"
"Yeah and by the way you did this one wrong"
"No I didn't, you're supposed to do it like this"
"Not for this problem"
"Yes it is, what are you talking about?" He keeps doing the problem his way.
"Are you stupid?! That's not how you do it!"
"Yes it is! You're the stupid one!"
"Well you might as well rip up that paper because you're doing it all wrong!"
"Shut up! Your way is the wrong way!"

They started arguing again, like how they always used to do. That was until the teacher stopped them.
"Guys, stop screaming. If you guys don't stop I'll separate you two" said the teacher.
"Good, separate us. I don't want to be with him anyways, he's stupid!" Azula said.
"Sir if we separate can I join another team?" Asked Sokka to the teacher.
"Fine, just stop arguing"

Sokka takes his chair and joins the pair that Suki is in.
"God I'm so sick of her, she drives me crazy" Sokka says as he joins them.
"Yeah she's awful. At least you're with us now" says Suki.
"Yeah at least. Now I can get some real work done" he says and starts working on the same problem as before.
"Oh Sokka you're doing this one wrong" Suki tells him.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah you're not meant to do it that way"
"Oh.... Oops"
