I've always hated you

First day of school

It was the first day of school for everyone. People got told what group they would be in and were told to sit at the cafeteria table that had their group number written on it.

Azula found the table labeled "509" and sat down. She looked at some of the other people who were sat at the table. She didn't really know/ never spoke to most of them. She got really happy when she spotted Mai and Ty lee at the table.
"Oh thank god they're with me. I would hate to spend the school year without any friends in the class" she thought to herself.
Her happy mood was ruined when she saw who was also sitting a little further down at the table...

"Great... another year that I have to spend with her" thought Sokka as he saw Azula approach the table.
He had her in his group almost every year and he hated her. He found her incredibly rude and super entitled. She clearly thinks she's better than everyone and people like that really piss Sokka off. It's caused them to get into a few verbal arguments over the past few years. God, why does he always end up with her?!

Azula sits at one of the only empty seats left, one next to Sokka.
"Hm, I guess we're together again" she says to him.
"Yay I'm so happy..." ,he says sarcastically, "You look like you haven't changed one bit since last year" she seemed just as bitchy and entitled as always.
"I can say the same about you. Just don't annoy me again this year. You always have something to say about me, you're obsessed with me I swear"
"Yeah I've always had something to say because I can't stand your attitude, it's so aggravating. Don't worry, I'm definitely not obsessed with you... nobody is".

That last part wasn't entirely true. Sokka is probably the only guy that isn't obsessed with Azula. Truth is, even though she can be really mean, she's incredibly pretty and most of the guys in the grade have a big crush on her. They often go out of their way to get her attention and always act stupid around her. Something Azula finds quite annoying.

"Hm, doesn't seem like that's the case...", she carried on. "Wait what does that paper in your hand say?!"
"What? It's just my locker number, none of your business" he replied
"There's no way in hell! I have the same number as you!"
At this school, each student has their own locker to store their books but has to share a locker where they put their bags and shoes and jackets with another person. Usually they get to pick but Mai and Ty lee went together this year so Azula just decided to leave it up to chance with who she ends up with this year. Sokka also left it up to chance this year since his friend Aang paired up with his sister Katara. Unfortunately for them, misfortune brought them together.

"You've got to be kidding me! I have to share a locker with you for the whole year?!" Sokka exclaimed.

This was going to be an incredibly long year for the both of them...

The group walks up to their first class, English class. There was a seating chart and everyone took their assigned seats.

They repeated that process for every class for the rest of the day. In pretty much every class Azula was sat in the front. Over the years she developed a reputation with the teachers because she talked a lot in class and often talked back to teachers when she got told off.

For their last class they were in math and she was sat next to Sokka and this other quiet girl and luckily for her she had Ty lee behind her.

"Ugh why am I always next to such boring people?" Azula said as she turned around to speak to Ty lee.
Sokka rolled his eyes after hearing that. "Does she not realize that the people next to her can hear her? Ugh, she probably does but just doesn't care..." Sokka thought to himself.

Azula kept talking to Ty lee until the teacher finally said something
"Um young lady, please face the front and stop talking"
"Ugh oh my god, fine" Azula says as she turns around.
Sokka snickers a little after hearing Azula already getting told off.
"Shut up! Why are you laughing?!" She said to him after she heard him laugh.
"Young lady do not yell!" The teacher says and then looks at the seating chart to see who's sitting in that seat. "Oh you're Azula, yeah I've heard some things about you..."
"Wow ok then...", she says and turns back to whisper to Ty lee, "The teachers are already on my ass. This is going to be a long year for me"

The last bell rang and now everyone was at their lockers about to leave.
Azula was getting frustrated because Sokka got to their locker before her and she couldn't get to her stuff.
"Move your fat ass! I can't get to my stuff!"
"Just wait, I'm almost done"
"You're so slow! Hurry up!"
"Shut up! It's not like you have a bus to catch or anything! Your daddy is going to get you and drive your privileged ass home!"
"Ugh you're so annoying, just hurry up"
Sokka finishes getting ready to leave and moves out of the way
"There, I'm done now. You couldn't wait 30 seconds?"
"No I really couldn't" she says as she starts getting ready to leave too.
Sokka rolls his eyes and starts walking out of the school. "She's so annoying" he thought to himself as he left.

This was definitely going to be a long year for the both of them.
