I've always hated you

First Fight

Sokka called them an Uber that took him and Azula to his house. They didn't speak but he held onto Azula's hand the entire way there.

They got to his house in a few minutes and Sokka noticed that his dad's car wasn't there and that neither was Katara.

"Seems like nobody is here" says Azula when they walk in.
"Yeah... hey can I just talk to you about something?" Sokka asked
"Yeah, sure"
"Look, what Suki did was messed up for sure but you know it doesn't help the situation when you also instigate her..."
"Wait what? What do you mean?"
"Well you constantly bring up the fact that I cheated on her with you... look, I'm really not proud of it and I feel terrible about doing it. I don't like when you bring it up"
"Well that's the only way she understands"
"Yeah but why can't you just ignore her? I hate how you always bring it up. When I did that it really hurt her and I'm ashamed of it"
"Why do you even care? She's a bitch"
"Yes, I know she can be but it's still so wrong. It's something I really regret doing and that I'm ashamed of"
"So you regret being with me?"
"What? No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying that I don't like how I hurt Suki. I don't care if she's a bitch or whatever, she didn't deserve that"
"Yeah she did"
"No she didn't, ok? Nobody deserves to be cheated on. Besides, I hate that that's the reason we got together"
"What? What are you even talking about?"
"Well when people ask us how we got together what am I supposed to say? 'Oh yeah, we got together after I cheated on my ex with her'?"
"That isn't even how it happened! Like what are you even talking about?!" Azula said, starting to get slightly annoyed.
"Ok you don't have to raise your voice at me, but yes it is. We got together because we fucked behind Suki's back and I started to like you"
"Oh so it's that simple for you?! Do you think our whole relationship is based off of lies and unfaithfulness?!"
"No, I never said that... I'm just saying that the main reason we got together was because I cheated on Suki with you"
"Is that what you think?! Because I never thought that! I thought we got together because you comforted me and we realized that we liked each other!"
"Yes and that happened because I said hurtful things to you when you told Suki what happened between us and then I apologized to you and we talked"
"Yeah exactly! So what's your point?!"
"My point is that if I never cheated on Suki then that whole interaction wouldn't of happened"
"Ok and you said you're ashamed of what you did and that you regret it. Does that mean that you regret being with me?"
"What? No Azula im not saying that. I just regret how it happened"
"But even you said that that's how we got together. So you regret getting together"
"Oh my god that isn't what I'm saying! I'm just saying I wished it happened differently! Why do you have to be like this?!" Sokka said finally getting annoyed.
"Be like what exactly?!"
"Well like this! Not listening and making up your own ideas in your head!"
"I'm not making up anything! I'm going based off what you're telling me! Clearly you're ashamed of being with me!"
"No I'm not! I never said that! That's what I mean, you're making stuff up in your head because you're not listening to me!"
"Ok well I don't wanna listen to you anymore, I'm going home"
"No Azula you don't have to do that, can we just talk about this?"
"Well clearly talking didn't work" Azula said as she pulled out her phone to get an Uber.
"Come on Azula, just be rational for once"
"For once?! Yeah fuck this stupid conversation, I'm leaving"
"Why don't you ever listen to people?!"
"I don't know, I guess I'm just irrational!"
"Oh my god! Fine, you can leave! I'm also sick of this conversation!"
"Good! My ride is here anyways" she says as she walks out of Sokka's house and gets in the Uber.

Sokka watched her leave and he was a bit saddened by it. They had fought countless times in the past, but this was different. It was their first fight as a couple. He should've expected it, every couple fights... I guess that's what he was signing up for when you got into a relationship with a person as stubborn as Azula.

His heart leaped when he heard a ding coming from his phone. Maybe it was Azula trying to apologize or something. He checked his phone and his excitement dropped.

Hey, I saw what happened at the party. Crazy

It was just Yue... Sokka was a little bit disappointed but he decided to respond anyways.

Sokka
Yeah it was... IDK if you could tell but Azula and Suki really don't get along

Yue
You don't say 😂 Why do they even hate each other so much?

Sokka
Oh well... You know when you asked how me and Azula got together and I said it was a long story? Well it's because I cheated on Suki with Azula...

Yue
Wait really?! I didn't know that

Sokka
Yeah... pls don't think any different of me, it was a really complicated situation and I really regret it. I don't regret getting with Azula at all, I just regret how it happened

Yue
I see. Well don't worry, I don't think of you any differently

Sokka
That's good to know. I'm actually feeling kinda shitty right now cuz I just got into a fight with Azula over this whole situation

Why was he telling her this? She didn't need to know about his fight with Azula...

Oh Im sorry to hear that. I'm sure it'll just blow over and you guys will make up

Yeah I hope so. She's very stubborn so I'll see how things go

Yue smiled when she put down her phone. This was her perfect opportunity to get closer to Sokka. He just got into a fight with Azula so it's the perfect time for her to swoop in and comfort him.
