I've always hated you

Family

Azula and Sokka were sitting on Azula's couch, cuddling, and watching a movie. It was some action movie that Sokka had picked out because he had seen it a few times and wanted to show it to Azula. However, Azula wasn't really into the movie.

"Mm Sokka I'm bored, I don't know if I like the movie..." she told him.
"Really? You're bored? This movie is so good!"
"I don't know, it's not my type of movie I guess"
"Well there's a little less than an hour left on it so let's just finish"
"Mm mm, let's do something more fun"
"Aw come on, I sat through Mean Girls with you"
"Because that's a great movie"
"This is too, so we're gonna watch it"
"Mm mm, I have a better idea" she says as she moves up closer to him and starts leaning in.
"Oh yes, good idea" Sokka says as he also leans in and kisses her.

Azula moves up closer to him and he wraps his arms around her while they keep kissing.
Suddenly, the front door opens and they hear people walking in.

"Oh we're so glad you guys could make it, we're happy to see you guys aga- Seriously Azula?!" She hears the voice of her father say.
"Mm what are you guys doing home? And what... you didn't tell me they were coming" Azula says as she sees who was next to her parents.

Azula hadn't seen them in forever. It was her uncle Iroh with his son, her cousin, Lu Ten.

"We wanted to visit for a bit and to surprise you guys" says Iroh. Her uncle and cousin live in another country so they rarely see them. "How've you been?"
"I've been good, you guys?" She says as she gets up off the couch to properly greet her family members.
"We've been good", says her cousin Lu Ten and hugs her, "Last time I saw you you were 13 and now you're 16 and making out with boys"
"Oh shut up, he's not just some boy, he's my boyfriend. Sokka, this is my uncle Iroh and my cousin Lu Ten"
"Ah, nice to meet you guys" says Sokka to them
"Nice to meet you too, Sokka" says Iroh
"Are you treating my little cousin good?" Lu Ten says to him.
"Of course, I treat her the best I possibly can"
"That's good, you better. Azula, if he ever does something wrong, just call me and I'll book a flight that same day to beat him up"
"Sure, that won't be needed though" says Azula
"I hope so. Anyways, uncle Ozai, where's Zuko?"
Asks Lu Ten.
"Oh he's at his girlfriend's house. He should be home soon"
"Cool, I can't wait to see him too. It's been a really long time"
"It certainly has", says Iroh, "I'll prepare us some tea"

Iroh heads over to the kitchen, followed by Lu Ten, Ozai, and Ursa.

"So that's your uncle and cousin? They seem nice" says Sokka
"Yeah they're both nice. I rarely see them since they live in another country"
"How come?"
"My uncle opened up some tea shop after he retired a few years ago and my cousin came with him"
"I see. They seem nice... you're cousin is a bit intimidating"
"Oh don't mind him. He's like 7 years older than me so he acts like my older brother is super protective of me"
"That's nice. I have a few little cousins too that I'm protective of"
"Aw that's really sweet Sokka. You'd be a good father in the future"
"F-father?! You really think that?"
"Yeah, you'd be great with kids"
"Azula... are you trying to tell me something...?"
"What?... No! Sokka I'm not pregnant! What goes through your head?!"
"Oh thank god... Not because I wouldn't want kids in the future! It's just too soon right now you know..."
"Sokka, shut up. We're not gonna talk about having kids right now, especially since my family is over"
"Right, yes" Sokka says and laughs nervously
"You're lucky you're cute" Azula says jokingly and kisses him on the cheek.

Around 20 minutes later Zuko also got home and starting catching up with everyone too. At one point, Azula left with Sokka to go walk to the bus stop with him. When she left, Lu Ten went over to Zuko to ask him some questions.

"Hey Zuko, how did Azula and her boyfriend meet?" He asks him
"I guess at school"
"Ah ok. And how did they get together"
"Oh umm.... That's a very long and complicated story..."
"Tell me, I'm curious"
"Fine... well um, at first they really hated each other, like a lot. They would always fight and scream at each other and complain. Then well something happened and they had slept together a few times. Then uh well... Sokka got this girlfriend but he still slept with Azula behind her back... then obviously the girlfriend found out and dumped him and then he and Azula got together. But honestly they're pretty solid together"
"What?! Azula was some sort of side piece?!"
"Well um, I wouldn't put it like that... but yeah"
"This guy is such a jerk! Who's to say he won't do the same to her?!"
"No I don't think so, he's a very good guy honestly"
"Yeah a good guy that cheats on girls! He's probably with her the wrong reasons! I mean when we walked in they were making out on the couch!"
"Ew... but look, Sokka is a good guy, I swear. I've been friends with him for a while and he's nice"
"I don't care, who knows his true intentions"

"Whose intentions? What are you guys talking about?" Azula says as she walks back in the house.
"Your boyfriend" says Lu Ten
"Sokka? Why are you guys talking about him?"
"Zuko told me how you guys got together and frankly he seems like a dick"
"Oh my god Zuko... look, it's very out of context ok? Everything is all sorted out, don't worry about it"
"I am worrying about it. I'm worried for you, I don't want you to get hurt"
"That's very sweet but trust me, everything is ok. I promise that he's the most sweet and amazing guy and I'm very happy with him"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure. Don't worry, in the highly unlikely case where he does something wrong, I'll call you"
"Good"
"But he won't. He's just a loveable idiot"
"As long as he treats my baby cousin right" Lu Ten says and puts his arm around her.
"I'm not a baby... but thanks for caring. Come on, let's go play some games all together downstairs just like we used to" Azula says and starts going in the basement with her cousin and brother.

She had a lot of fun seeing her uncle Iroh and her cousin Lu Ten. Unfortunately they had to leave three days later. She couldn't wait for the next time to see them.
