42 - Door closed

Bible's POV

Once my apartment door is closed, I let my emotions take control.

I hold Biu's face between my hands and make our lips meet in greed.

I don't give him room to breathe.

However, his following reaction shows me I took him for granted once more.

He turns his face abruptly.

"Biu...?!"

"You knew it, right?! That's why you came..."

Slowly he puts his hands on my chest so that I move away from him.

"I don't expect you believe me...but I just guessed this time. HE told me nothing."

"When is it going to end?!"Biu just shakes his head...A slight smile of disbelief on his face.

"I went after you to ask you not to leave the series."

"Now I have the power to decide whether or not to be in a series?!"

I felt a blade pass by me.

"Did Mr Chen take you out of the series? I can try to reason with HIM again...or try to talk to Mr. Chen...I don't know...I..."

Biu watches me in silence for a few seconds and interrupts me.

"In fact...THIS TIME I had the power to decide that. Not only as an actor, but as a business partner in this project...my own company. Luckily for me I'm not negotiating with the old wolves from the local industry. Mr Chen backed me up this time."

"Has he  talked to P'P..."

"He did."

"Does he know about what happened?!Everything?"

"He knows what he must know to have me in this project. My private matters do not concern him. And he was professional enough to not ask. Even so, I won't let him down."

"Where are you going?"

"I appreciate your worries. But I have to go now." His soft voice seems kind, but I feel no warmth coming from him.

"We just arrived. We have to talk."

"We have been doing it until now."

"We have to talk about us."

"..."

"I wish we were still in Vietnam..."

"We can't turn back time...or change choices."

"I know I failed you again...I should had told you before rushing my return, but..."

"Ever since you came back before me, I've been thinking. I've already rebuilt my life and you've rebuilt yours. Let's leave it like that."

"Can't you forgive me?!"

"I already did."

First time the door was closed, I had hopes.

Last time the door was closed, I had nothing left.

Biu's POV

"Cut! That's okay, boys. We can call it a day."

"Wow, it's so late..."

"Hey, Blue, do you wanna have dinner?!"

"Oh...I'm sorry...I'm going to meet some friends..."

"Maybe some other time then."

"Yeah, sure!"
