two days after alex said they didn't feel well, we have a show. it wasn't until the afternoon of yesterday that alex said they felt better.

right now, jessie, miguel, and i are at the venue. alex said they were on their way, but they had yet to get here. we've been doing soundcheck as best as we could without them, as well as practicing a bit.

another ten minutes passed before alex showed up. i looked over at them, and i tilted my head. their hair was a bit of a disheveled mess, their outfit seemed to be put together at the very last minute, and they just seemed off.

i walked over to them. "hi, lovey," i greeted softly. i stepped closer to them, and i stood on my tiptoes as i used my fingers to comb their hair and fix it.

"hi, angel," they let out a soft, relaxed breath as i continued to comb their hair. they tilted their head down towards me as they gently grabbed my waist.

"are you okay?" i questioned as i held eye contact. after i combed their hair, my hand drifted down to cup their cheek.

they nodded against my hand. "yeah, i'm just tired," they let out a deep sigh. "i fucked my sleep schedule up."

"baby," i frowned. "after the show, you want to come back to my apartment? i'll cook you dinner, and then hopefully we can fix your sleep schedule."

their brows knitted downwards, and they gave a small nod. "that does sound pretty tempting."

"so that's a yes?" a grin started to tug at my lips.

they started to say something, but they were cut off. "there you are, alex! come on, we've got to do soundcheck with you now."

we both let out a sigh. they placed their hand on my lower back, and they started to lead me there.

a while later, the show has started. alex is walking towards me as they sang and played their guitar. when they got right in front of me, they slowly started to kneel; they didn't break eye contact, nor did they stop playing or singing.

"and i don't care if you're sick. i don't care if you're contagious. i would kiss you even if you were dead," they sang as they now looked up at me.

i leaned down, getting close to their face as they continued. i could hear the crowd going crazy as we were now only inches apart; i knew that videos and pictures of this would be on instagram in no time, but i couldn't care less at the moment.

i hope one of the pictures has good quality; i've been wanting a new lockscreen for a while now.

"'cause i'll chase away the darkness," they gave a small nod as they sang. they still refused to break eye contact. even on stage in front of hundreds of people, they were still looking at me with only love and adoration in their eyes. "i'll live in love and die."

now that the song was almost over, i had leaned a little too close to them; our noses were nearly touching at this point, but they didn't seem the least bit bothered.

they smirked as they came to the last line of the song. "kiss me while i drive."

they leaned back as far as they could as they played the final chord. as the crowd was cheering, they let out a hollar of their own, which made me giggle.

alex was definitely meant to perform; i couldn't imagine them in any other profession.

the show continued on until we got to kiwi. throughout the show, devon had been taking photos of us, moving around in the area between the stage and the crowd. she had gotten to the venue not too long before the show had started.
