alex

"miggy!" i yelled as i ran over to miguel.

his eyes widened as i approached him. he laughed as i picked him up. "alex!" he matched my energy.

"we're back on tour! can you believe it?" i grinned.

"i really can't," he laughed again.

"wait, i wanna join," i barely heard jessie mumble.

the next thing me and miguel knew, jessie had ran over and jumped on us, which caused us to fall to the ground. we all grunted as we hit the floor.

"what the fuck?" i sent jessie a look as i rubbed my now sore shoulder.

"i wanted in," she defended with a pout. "i'm excited for tour too, you know?"

"a little too excited," migs muttered as he rubbed his elbow.

"i'm sorry," jess dragged out.

we heard footsteps coming towards us, so we all turned to see saylor walking over. she gave us a weird look at first as she stood over us. she then shrugged, and she collapsed onto jj's lap.

"well, hi, pookie," jj smirked.

"hi," saylor scrunched her nose up as she squished jessie's cheeks together.

"wait, hey, no, you're only supposed to do that to me," i frowned.

saylor gave a faux frown, while jess laughed. "it's okay, alex; nothing to be jealous about," they smirked as they reached over and squished my cheeks together.

i smacked her hand away. "it's not the same when you do it," i huffed.

"i feel very left out, just saying," miguel raised a brow.

i reached over, and i squished miggy's cheeks together. "sorry, baby boy," i made a kissy face at him.

"you four are never escaping the polyamorous rumors," laura sighed.

we all turned to look at her with dropped jaws.

"shit, i'm down," jess added playfully as they made a fuck boy face.

"you play too much," i kissed my teeth and placed my hand over her face as i pushed her back. i then stood up, and i held my hand out to saylor to help her up as well.

"there's no such thing," jj argued.

laura shook her head. "are you all ready to start soundcheck? we should've started it ten minutes ago," she told us as she looked across us expectantly.

"yes, ma'am," we all nodded before we walked up to the stage and to each of our instruments.

i used my hands to gesture to the crowd to be quiet as i let my guitar hang from the strap on my shoulder. i brought a finger up to my mouth. once they were quiet enough, i started to speak.

"okay, so... i wrote this song a while ago. i didn't even have any intent on releasing it at first, but, uh... the more i sat on this song and the more time that passed after i wrote, i realized that," i pursed my lips, then looked back at saylor. i couldn't help the smile that played on my lips as i saw her. "i dunno, there's nothing wrong with a little bit of sweetness in my life."

the crowd started to cheer as i stepped back and started to play the opening chords. "it can't be said i'm an early bird. it's ten o'clock before i say a word. baby, i can never tell, how do you sleep so well? you keep tellin' me to live right, to go to bed before the daylight."
