a few weeks after our tour ended, me and saylor have been enjoying not only our time off, but also the fact that we're married and living together. these past few weeks have been some of the happiest moments of my life, and i wouldn't trade it for anything.
right now, the two of us are having a lazy day after a long night last night. billie had came to new york, and the five of us had a night together in the practice building. we hung out, played music, and sang karaoke (jessie and miguel claimed that me, saylor, and billie only wanted to show off, but i swear we didn't!).
"jj, baby, you've got to sing 'baby' by justin bieber with me!" billie gave a large grin.
jessie laughed loudly. "uh, no, thank you, princess. now, if you'd rather a one direction or harry styles song, then i—" jessie started to say.
i scoffed. "man, fuck you, i'll sing it with you, billie," i said as i hopped off of the couch.
"really?!" saylor's eyes widened.
"yes," i widened my own eyes at her. "bieber fever never left!"
"i second that!" billie quickly nodded.
saylor and jessie's jaws both dropped. miguel laughed. "i mean... yeah, i agree. it may not be as bad as when i was younger, but it's definitely still there," he said.
i grinned, then blew raspberries at saylor before me and billie started to sing the song.
now, me and saylor are laying on the couch. i'm laying on top of her with my head on her chest. she's watching some show on the tv. i've only kinda been paying attention to it.
i turned my head, and i rested my chin on saylor's chest. i let my eyes wander across her face and all her features. "wife," i said to catch her attention.
"husband?" she replied.
that's a new thing we've been doing since we got married. it's so dumb, but i also really love it.
"you're so pretty," i murmured with a lovestruck smile.
she smiled too and blushed, even after hearing me say the same thing countless times by now. "thank you, baby," she leaned forward to peck my lips.
"i can't believe i get to spend the rest of my life with you," i nearly whispered.
"well i'm glad, because you were stuck with me either way," she teased. "you weren't ever leaving!"
"i wouldn't even dream of it," i replied before laying my head back on her chest. i reached out, and i grabbed her hand. her thumb started to gently run over the tattoo on the back of my hand. i let out a content sigh.
"you know, i could fall asleep right now," i murmured.
"if you want to, go ahead. we don't have anything planned today."
"i just might," i told her softly. i closed my eyes, but i soon shot up as i remembered something. her eyes widened as she looked at me expectantly. "i almost forgot; i wrote a song for you, and i've been meaning to sing it for you."
she jutted her lip out adorably as she watched me go get a guitar. once i grabbed one, i sat back down on the couch, and i settled close to her. "okay, i know we agreed on no wedding gifts or whatever, but i still want to give this to you as one, kinda... or, like, more so of a just— i don't know. a thank you? i dunno! but, uh... yeah! whatever, here it is," i rambled, which made her giggle.
