alex
it's now october. tomorrow, the band will start tour. we're all really excited to be going back on tour and doing shows again, besides the sporadic ones we've had since our last tour ended.
right now, i'm out grocery shopping... for mine and saylor's new apartment. we were finally able to move in earlier this week. we're still unpacking the last few things. we don't have any food of any sort there though, so saylor sent me out to buy some things for her to cook us dinner. it'll be our first time having dinner there.
words cannot express how happy i am to actually be living with saylor and to own an apartment with her.
i looked at my phone as i walked through the grocery store. saylor had sent me pictures of every ingredient and whatnot to get. i looked at one, then up above the aisles, where it had a sign to label what was on each aisle. i went down the next aisle, then looked through it. i frowned as i saw that they had the item, just not the brand that she had sent a picture of.
just as i was about to facetime her to tell her and ask if a different brand was okay, my phone started ringing. i let out a small laugh as i saw that she was trying to facetime me. i answered with a smile.
"hi, darling," i murmured.
"baby!" saylor's eyes widened. she had her phone propped up so that she didn't have to hold it. "look!" she stepped back to show me that she was holding axel.
"he's finally letting me hold him!" she told me excitedly. "i can't believe it!"
"see, i told you that he just needed to warm up to you," i giggled.
"it only took four months," she sighed. she looked towards me with the slightest pout on her lips as she held axel.
i smiled at the sight. i took a screenshot, which made her lip jut out more than it was. "you look so cute right now!" i defended softly.
she smiled softly at that. before we got off of the facetime, i explained to her that they were out of stock of the brand she wanted. once she told me it was fine and which brand to get instead, i told her that i loved her and that i would be back soon.
i continued shopping. once i had everything, i checked out, brought it all out to my car, then drove back to mine and saylor's apartment. i entered quietly, and i sat the groceries on the kitchen counter. saylor wasn't in the kitchen or the living room, so i assumed that she was in our room.
well, it's more so her room. we talked about it, and we thought it would be best to each have our own room. it would be nice to have our own space still and decorate it how we like and whatnot. we agreed that it would be healthy to have our own rooms to have our "me time" or whatever and not constantly be in each other's space. that being said... i doubt my bed will ever get used, besides a few naps here and there. even though we have our own rooms, we're still going to sleep together every night.
after i set the groceries on the counter, i whispered to alexa to play a song. i turned it up, and i started to walk to saylor's room. as it got to the chorus, i opened her door to allow her to hear the song. i stood in the doorway with a stupid smile on my lips, trying my hardest not to burst out laughing.
saylor looked at me, half-confused and half-amused, as the chorus of hey daddy by usher blared through the alexa. "and when i walk in, all that i wanna hear is you say, 'daddy's home, home for me.' and i know you've been waiting for this lovin' all day."
she tossed her head back as she laughed loudly. she quickly got up from the air mattress we've been sleeping on (we've yet to be able to actually furniture the apartment) before she ran over to me. "alex!" she nearly yelled, a playful grin on her face as she threw herself into my arms.
