𝐯. cassie is a thief, and not a good one

THE HUNTERS left soon enough for cabin eight, Bianca with them.

Percy and Cassie gave Nico a tour around camp. Nico was oblivious to the weird tension between the two best friends.

Cassie spotted a familiar blonde in the crowd. "Sollace!"

The younger boy jogged towards them, Cassie hugged him tightly. "Will Nico, Nico Will."

Nico grinned, while Will gave him a shy smile. Cassie saw them being great friends.

While they walked to talk with Mr. D, Percy realised how popular Cassie actually was in camp.

It was kind of weird, since Percy had never been popular at school, everyone smiled and greeted Cassie, and then they saw him and greeted him too. But everyone saw Cassie first, everyone looked at her walk away.

Even Beckendorf, who was known to be this quiet, serious guy, came to hug her.

She reminded him something about asking Silena on cabin duty- Percy wasn't sure, but while they walked away Cassie told him about her mission to get those two together.

"Are you okay Percy?"

Was he okay? He didn't have a reason not to be fine, but something about Malcom had pissed him off.

He didn't know that feeling, it was ugly and violent. What was so great about Ethan Nakamura?

"Yeah, peachy." He thought about Luke. "And you? How do you feel about the whole Luke thing?"

Cassie sighed, they were in the Strawberry fields. Will had taken Nico to see the introduction movie. "I miss him. Does it make me a bad person?"

"No, just human."

"I feel guilty, I don't love him anymore- but he was still a brother to me."

Percy watched how the sun bathed Cassie, making her glow, he forgot how to breathe for a fraction of a second. "I'll kick his ass for you."

Cassie laughed. "I believe you."

He then noticed something. "Is that my hoodie?"

It was a simple one, navy with a white surf board in the middle, nothing flashy.

Cassie shrugged. "It was cute."

"So you stole it? That's thievery Cass." He pretended to scold her.

"Weren't you the lighting thief?" She answered with a smile.

Percy flushed. "I didn't actually steal something."

Cassie plucked a strawberry. "The national manhunt proves otherwise."

He laughed and tried to throw her to the ground, she saw it coming and at the last second she dodged him. But he grabbed her leg and got her on the floor.

They both laughed earning some weird looks from some Satyrs.
