BECKENDORF was dead. Charles Beckendorf, counsellor of cabin nine, was dead.

It had been mere minutes since Percy came back from the mission Cassie should've gone to. A mission that had gone horribly wrong, as Percy told the campers and Chiron.

The girl couldn't help but feel the grip of guilt around her, she should've gone instead of Beckendorf, but well, Beckendorf chose to go instead of her- Cassie should've argued more- she should've done something.

Charles was dead, a camper that she considered like an older brother, one of the pillars of Camp Half-Blood, was gone.

Silena pushed the people in the crowd, making her way. "What?" Her voice cracked.

The old centaur cleared his throat. "Silena, my dear, let's talk about this at the Big House-"

"No," she muttered. "No. No."

She started to cry, and the rest of the crowd stood around, too stunned to speak.

Cassie wrapped her arms around Silena, while she sobbed violently against her shoulder.

Finally Clarisse put her arm around Silena, slowly dragging her away.

"Come on, girl," she said. "Let's get to the Big House. I'll make you some hot chocolate."

Silena slowly let herself be dragged by Clarisse, mumbling and sobbing.

Everyone turned and wandered off in twos and threes, heading back to the cabins.

Only Cassie and Chiron stayed behind.

Cassie looked at her converse and suddenly she wrapped her arms around him, in a hug. "I'm glad you're not dead, Shark Boy."

Percy got over the initial shock and hugged her back. "Thanks," he said. "Me too, Lava Girl."

Chiron put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sure you did everything you could, Percy. Will you tell us what happened?"

Percy told them everything, including Ethan that had joined the titan's in a more active role.

"Wait where's Annabeth?" He asked.

Cassie frowned. "She's with her siblings- something about Daedalus."

Chiron gazed down at the valley. "We must call a war council immediately, to discuss this spy, and other matters."

"Poseidon mentioned another threat," Percy said. "Something even bigger than the Princess Andromeda. I thought it might be that challenge the Titan had mentioned in my dream."

"We will discuss that also," Chiron promised.

"One more thing." The boy took a deep breath. "When I talked to my father, he said to tell you it's time. I need to know the full prophecy."
