CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS.

Hecate - ( mother )  ~ Hecate and Alison have a weird relationship as they both have such turbulent lives/situations. Hecate always wanted to stay in Camelot to raise her daughter and be with the mortals that she loved the most, but after Arthur died things just shifted for the worst. She was forced to return to her realm as she had her domains to maintain as well as a duty to help the gods and other titans with her mist/magic. So, Hecate was forced to leave her daughter with Merlin and Gwen as they rebuilt Camelot to a higher glory in the wake of Arthur's death. So, till her daughter was Twelve, neither one knew each other. When Alison was Twelve, Hecate had finally found out about Regina's little curse that was hiding in plain sight from the goddess. Although, Hecate couldn't quite get involve in her daughter's life as she and her father had no memory of her. As well as the fact that she couldn't do anything without putting her life in further danger from monster attacks. It wasn't till Emma broke the curse when Alison was about thirteen that Hecate got a chance to at least talk to Merlin, who actually knew her now. Once Hecate knew that Storybrook was protected with a strong magic barrier to keep out strangers and monsters alike, she started to make a relationship with her daughter. Alison was weary and angry at her mother at first, but as time went on she could see why her mother choose to do what she did ( a big source of her understanding and more empathic view of her mother came from both Henry and Emma as their situation mirrored her own to some weird degree.)

Arthur Pendragon/Pennington -  ( father ) ~ Arthur had killed in war before Alison had even been born. Although, he died before she was born, the princess of Camelot had grew up on many great stories on her father and knew that he would have absolutely adored her from day one. It's not till she's on the run from a monster while in New York, a trip she had been forcibly dragged on by Henry as his mother went looking for Rumplestiliskin's son, that she ends up meeting her father who had been reborn as a demigod in the strange realm. Alison hadn't known that it was her father at the time and Arthur had no clue of his past life at that time. And for while, they both didn't know. Arthur tried taking Alison back to camp half blood on the first day they met so that she'd be protected, but she had refused begin taken there and went back to storybrook. But not till after everything with Neverland when Alison and Merlin choose to move to New York so that she can go to Camp Half Blood and Hecate could actively be more present. Alison and Arthur become fast friends as Arthur feels a very instinctive connections to her and feels heavily responsible/protective of her. After a chance reunion with Merlin, Arthur slowly regains his memories of the past, which leads him to becoming very overprotective of his daughter.

Merlin Pendragon/Pennington -  ( father ) ~ Merlin is very overprotective of his daughter as he basically raised her by himself. Merlin has a really good relationship with Alison as he was dedicated to making sure that she was loved and taken care of. Merlin had a bit of hard time raising her as he was reforming Camelot to accept magic (so that his daughter would never have to worry about her magic like he did) and mourning Arthur. Not much changed for them in Storybrook.

Guinevere Pendragon/Pennington (aunt) ~ Gwen and Alison are very close as Guinevere was the closest person she that had to a mother growing up in Camelot. Since Gwen helped take over ruling Camelot alongside Merlin, she often served as a strong pillar of strength and wisdom for Alison. She was someone the person that Alison could turn to about court and political and female type stuff. When they were put into Storybrook, Gwen lived with her and her father and continued to care for her. She even comes to live with them in New York as she wanted to be there for her dear friend and her goddaughter.

Morgana Pendragon/Pennington (aunt) ~ Growing up in Camelot, Alison knew of her aunt and what all she did. Alison was taught the rather complex history of Camelot and years of suppression that Uther did on the Magic community. Alison never thought that she would ever meet her aunt Morgana, but the fates thought otherwise. Alison, unaware, meets her aunt during the events of the battle of labyrinth. It is revealed that she is working with Luke Castellan and is actively trying to kill her and her friends. They both are unaware of their familiar relationship till the battle of Manhattan.
