Caroline is optimistic, overly kind, strong willed, bubbly, funny, responsible and had a tendency to be far to over protective about those she cares about. Ironically, she has started to appreciate life a lot more since becoming a vampire. Moreover, despite begging a creature known to kill in cold blood or just for sport, she hadn't killed one before or let alone serious hurt any one, thus showing an impressive amount of control for a newly turned vampire. This continues throughout her immortal life. Caroline can be described as an "expert" in self-control. Being a vampire has helped show her what good she could possibly do with her immortal life. Contrary to Caroline's outwardly appearance, that being a pretty girl with blonde hair, Caroline in no way fits the overly annoying stereotype of your typical "dumb blonde". In fact, when she first was enrolled into school she was a straight-A student and passed everything with flying colors, thus making her arguably one of the most intelligent girl's in her grade.
