As the Titans barreled forward with terrifying speed, the ground trembled beneath their colossal strides. Mikasa, Connie, Draco, Jean, and Armin leaped aside just in time to avoid being swallowed whole, scrambling back onto their steeds with urgency.
" All units, scatter ! Keep your distance from the Titans !". Commander Erwin barked out commands as the monstrous horde closed in on the Armored Titan.
The Armored Titan, akin to a charging rugby player, threw itself into the fray, barreling through the mass of smaller Titans with brute force. But the relentless onslaught was overwhelming; smaller Titans clung to its limbs like parasites, impeding its progress.
Meanwhile, Historia clung desperately to Ymir's Titan, her heart pounding in her chest as a Titan reached out, its grotesque fingers inches from her face.
" Historia !". Ymir's voice rang out with alarm.
Ymir, wielding her Titan form with ferocity, dispatched the encroaching Titans around them. Yet Reiner's Titan found itself ensnared in a trap of its own making, surrounded by the relentless advance of the horde, unable to move forward.
From a distance, the Survey Corps watched in awe and disbelief as chaos unfolded before their eyes.
" What in the world is happening ? Is this our end ?". Jean's voice trembled with disbelief.
Draco nodded, his throat dry with fear," It certainly feels like it... More like hell...".
But Commander Erwin, undeterred by the dire circumstances, spurred his horse forward, his eyes blazing with determination.
" No... This is just the beginning ! All units, advance !" Commander Erwin's voice boomed with authority." This moment will determine the fate of humanity ! If we lose Eren and Estella, our hope will be lost ! Retrieve them and retreat immediately ! Dedicate your hearts to this cause !".
Oluo's brow furrowed with nervous tension as he nodded in agreement," Let's move !".
Draco's heart raced as he grappled with the magnitude of the task ahead. Though every fiber of his being screamed for retreat, he followed Oluo and the resolute figure of Commander Erwin, spurred on by Mikasa's unwavering resolve.
" Mikasa ! Draco !". Connie's voice rang out in disbelief.
With conviction, they thundered toward the heart of the chaos, their steeds kicking up clouds of dust in their wake. Only a handful of Military Police remained behind, their eyes wide with disbelief at the madness unfolding before them.
" By the heavens... They're all mad !". One of the soldiers muttered in disbelief.
Before they could comprehend the gravity of the situation, a Titan lunged forward, its gaping maw swallowing one of the soldiers whole, sending his companion fleeing in terror.
Meanwhile, within his Titan's confines, Reiner grinded his teeth in frustration, weighing his dwindling options against the encroaching tide of Titans.
Reiner grappled with the overwhelming weight of the Titans pressing down on him, his muscles straining against the relentless assault," I can't move... If I don't shake these Titans off... I'll exhaust myself completely... Hold on, Bertholdt ! Just a bit longer ! We're almost there !". His thoughts raced as he peeled back the protective layers of his Titan's hands, exposing Bertholdt, Eren, and Estella to the chaotic battlefield.
Estella's eyes widened in terror as she witnessed the unfolding turmoil, her fingers gripping desperately onto a piece of Reiner's Titan armor to steady herself. She knew that a single misstep could lead to her demise; unarmed and unprepared, she was vulnerable. Her only glimmer of hope lay in Reiner's ability to clear a path for them through the sea of Titans.
