Third person POV

In a dimly lit room, Isaac groaned as he regained consciousness, his surroundings a blur as he struggled to orient himself. With a dazed glance, he surveyed the room, his eyes widening as they landed on his little sister, still and peaceful beside him. Relief washed over him as he saw her chest rise and fall with steady breaths.

Carefully rising to his feet, Isaac cautiously explored the room, his fingers trailing along the rough surface of the walls until they brushed against a loose brick. A small grin tugged at his lips as he felt it shift beneath his touch. Silently, he removed the brick and concealed it within a makeshift pouch.

Lowering himself to the ground, Isaac pressed his hand against the cold floor, his body convulsing with feigned coughs and soft whimpers. The door creaked open, and a curious soldier peered inside.

" You're awake ? What's wrong ? Are you feeling ill ?". The soldier inquired.

Approaching Isaac with concern etched on his features, the soldier contemplated the boy's condition, a hint of worry gnawing at him. He feared the effects of the concoction used to subdue the child might be taking a toll.

" Can you breathe properly ?". The soldier asked, leaning in closer.

Isaac's grin widened as he met the soldier's gaze, swiftly hurling the makeshift weapon towards him. The soldier crumpled to the ground, unconscious.

Taking a deep breath, Isaac scooped up his sister, his mind racing as he shattered the window and slipped into the night.

Bolting into the dense forest, Isaac's heart pounded with each stride, praying they wouldn't be discovered. Grateful for the lessons Estella had imparted on them, he recalled her teachings : observe, act, and seize the opportune moment to flee. Now, his sole desire was to reunite with the only person he trusted, the woman who had become their guardian after the loss of their biological mother.

Back at the site of their abduction, soldiers rushed to assess the situation as their leader arrived, alerted to the escape.

" They're gone, sir !". One soldier reported breathlessly.

The leader's lips curled into a smirk as he surveyed the empty room," Clever. Wonder who they inherited that from... It's just like her". He mused.

" What should we do ? Pursue them ?". Another soldier's voice quivered with uncertainty.

The leader pivoted, his demeanor decisive," No. We don't have time for that right now. We are needed elsewhere. We head to the meeting place, immediately".

Nodding in unison, the soldiers swiftly lifted their unconscious comrade from the ground before exiting the room.

As he surveyed the abandoned chamber, the man exhaled heavily," I suppose I've botched this... Besides, now isn't the time".

Meanwhile, with the collaborative efforts of Dimo and his son, Squad Levi successfully apprehended two Military Police soldiers. Levi stood watch over his captive. Oluo maintained vigilance outside the cell where the second captive was in, while Levi engaged in what could hardly be termed an interrogation, but rather a brutal interrogation.

The echoes of the soldier's screams reverberated through the room above the cellar where the rest of the squad was, casting a pall of unease. Estella attempted to distract herself by scanning the corners of the room, but Draco couldn't help but flinch at each piercing cry.

Their concentration shattered as hurried footsteps thundered down the stairs. Hange and Moblit burst into the room without preamble. Hange, breathless with urgency, flung the door open and descended the stairs with haste, leaving Moblit to offer a sheepish glance before closing the door behind him.
