Estella's POV
Upon our return to Wall Rose, my first priority was to tend to my injured leg. Draco's skillful magic helped align the bones after practicing the spell, yet caution remained essential, knowing full well it hadn't fully mended, necessitating rest.
Before reuniting with Mikasa, Eren, Historia, and Armin, who had already departed for the designated cabin, I seized an opportunity. Sasha, Jean, Connie, and Draco were tasked with gathering supplies, affording me a chance to visit Eliza and Isaac at the orphanage, a welcome reprieve.
" We missed you, Mom ! But what happened to your leg ?". Isaac's concern was heartwarming.
I embraced them tightly, assuring them with a grin," Just a little mishap, my darlings. I couldn't leave without saying goodbye and checking on you two. You weren't too scared by what happened ?".
Isaac shook his head," We were brave and didn't even cry ! We were just like you would be if you took on the Titans !".
" These are my brave and beautiful little soldiers". I said with a smile as I patted their heads.
But I stopped curiously at Eliza, who remained quite silent, looking rather sad.
" What is it, Lizzy ? What's going on, sweetheart ?". I wondered.
Eliza's expression soured," Are you leaving for a long time ?".
I shook my head reassuringly," No, I'll return before you know it. But you must promise to behave ! ".
Isaac beamed," Promise !".
" Deal ! As long as it means you'll come back soon". Eliza added with a hopeful smile.
" When it's all over and I've taken care of everything, we'll be spending a lot more time together, I promise". I told them.
" Hey, Stella. We're ready to go". Draco interjected, signaling our departure.
I sighed slightly when I heard this, regretting that I couldn't stay with them any longer. But that was the deal I'd made with Hange...
" Are you Uncle Harry ?". Eliza's innocent query took Draco by surprise.
Draco recoiled, a look of disgust crossing his face," God, no !".
Eliza blinked, puzzled by Draco's reaction.
Chuckling, I clarified," Draco's my friend, not my brother".
I remember putting them in the new orphanage and telling them a bit about my family and, of course, Harry. This made them both want to meet the man they started calling 'Uncle Harry'.
" Rather be dead than be like him". Draco muttered under his breath.
Isaac eyed Draco curiously before turning his attention back to me.
" Okay, I'm off now. Love you both". I said, planting a kiss on their foreheads.
" Bye bye, Mom !". Eliza waved as we headed towards the waiting cart, my crutch in hand.
" Take care !". Isaac added as he waved too.
I waved back one last time before boarding the cart with Draco, Jean guiding us away.
" You're practically their mom, it's adorable". Sasha remarked with a smile.
" Or bizarre". Draco added quietly.
I chuckled, scratching my head, "As long as they're happy, I'm happy. They can call me whatever they like."
" It's a sign you'll be a great mom someday, if you want kids". Jean chimed in dreamily, earning a playful smack from Sasha.
