Family sickness follows

Chapter 37

Niall had taken Amber out for the day. They went to the park across Crystals Lace. Amber went to the play park first and went on the swings. Niall helped pushing the swing for her. After a while Amber wanted to do the monkey bars. Niall followed her and joined her wanting to exercise himself too. Niall helped Amber across before having a go himself. Amber watched his dad as he had a go on the bars . Niall almost slipped but managed to steady himself. "Careful, dad" Amber said, having noticed the almost slip. Niall finished and thanked his daughter. "What do you want to do now?" Niall asked. Amber thought for a bit, "Ice cream?" She asked. Niall nodded and they headed to the ice cream van. They asked for their ice creams and went to sit on a bench. They both enjoyed their ice creams and went back to the play park when they finished them.

Niall was pleased that Amber actually ate something. He didn't care what it was. They went to play on the slide. Amber was having fun.

Sienna and Harper had gone back to the flat and decided to watch tv. "What happened with Lou?" Harper asked her mum after a while, wanting to know too about him. "I'm not sure darling he is in hospital and a bit poorly at the moment" Sienna said. Harper sighed and nodded. She decided not to push more for her mum to tell her but to wait for when she could see and talk to Liam again. Sienna was glad for this. They continued watching the TV.

Amber and Niall arrived home minutes later. They said hi to Sienna and Harper. Amber told them about their day at the park. Sienna smiled, glad that Amber had fun. Harper smiled too at what her sister was telling them and opened her arms to cuddle with her. Amber smiled and went to cuddle her sister. Niall went to change clothes. Sienna followed him wanting to know more about their time in the park.

"Si, Amber had ice cream when we were out" Niall informed his wife when they were in the room. "The two of us. And she asked for it." He added. "That's great. It wasn't actual food but I'm glad she was brave and asked for it on her own" Sienna said. "Same. I don't care what it is, eating anything is a big step" Niall said. "Yeah. It is" Sienna said and grabbed the notepad where she has every daily step taken by each of their daughters, after the mishap with the feeds happened, registered. She wrote down what she had and her daughter currently appeared fine after. They soon joined their daughters after Niall had changed his clothes.

They decided to play a board game. Amber went to grab the bingo game and asked to be the numbers caller. They let her be the bingo caller. They started to play. They played a round which Harper won. They played again and Harper was the caller. This time, Sienna won and it was her turn to be the caller. They played another round before changing the game. They decided on Cluedo. They enjoyed playing it for a few rounds. They asked each other questions when they went into a room. They had the opportunity to win at least one round. They continued playing different games for the rest of the day. Harper tried messaging her boyfriend once more before dinner. The girls set the table up while Niall and Sienna made the food.

Niall checked Harper's blood sugar before setting up the PN by the picc line. "When is this going to be over, dad? I miss having real food" Harper said after it was set up. "I'm not sure, sweetie. We can speak to the drs soon" Niall said. Harper sighed and nodded. Amber wanted to try the food but also had her juices at hand just in case. Amber and her parents had dinner. Harper joined them at the table although she couldn't eat.

After Abbey changed Harry and washed her hands she helped Harry sit up in bed and she started a video call with Jay. Jay answered and passed the phone to Louis. "Lou" Harry said beaming at the face of his husband on the phone's screen. "Hi babe, I miss you" Louis said, tearing up a bit at the voice and image of his husband on the phone. "I miss you too, sorry about what happened. I was so scared that day and sorry my legs weren't strong enough to get him off you" Harry said with tears down his eyes. "No! No Hazz! Don't you dare do that. Don't blame yourself. It wasn't your fault." Louis said sternly, hating for Harry to take the blame after Des. "Sorry, babe." Harry said.
