{ wait till the world is mine }

A month after the incident with Helaena and the tea, and Aemond and the letter, Aegon and Aemond were positive that something was wrong with Valyria. She had taken to sitting at the end of the table, with Helaena between her and Aegon.

Of course, the brothers asked their sister, but all she said was, 'We had a lovely tea party'.

At supper, as per the current usual, she sat beside Helaena. Alicent, who had always studied the two princes and the trembling princess, noticed how her sons eyed the princess.

"Granddaughter." Valyria looked up from her chicken and met her Grandsire's eyes. He smiled brightly. He enjoyed brining her happiness.

"Your nameday is soon, and so is our Aemond's. How many days apart?" He asked, looking at Alicent. "Fourteen, husband." He nodded.

"Alicent has surely planned some extravagant fuss for Aemond, but I would like to gift you a different extravagance." He took out a scroll and handed it to Valyria, who read it.

Her eyes widened. "Mother's coming?" He chuckled. "And your brothers." Alicent tensed and glanced at her son, who still bore the mark of Lucerys Velaryon.

"They will all come for a ball. Isn't that fantastic? The Velaryons as well, and Daemon."

Alicent cleared her throat. "Don't you think it may be too soon after the incident with Rhaenyra's children?" Viserys frowned. "All has been forgiven, yes?" No one said anything.

"That is what I assumed. Besides, Aegon and Valyria's betrothal must be announced. We will have a feast for Valyria's nameday, and that is the end of it." Valyria nodded, and Aegon, as always, noticed her lovable ticks.

He realized that he had become obsessed with the things she did when she thought no one was looking. When she was tired, she would close her eyes, hold her breath, and then take a deep breath to kickstart herself.

When she was happy, she would bite her lip, and when she was excited, her leg would bounce. And when she was nervous, her hand would shake.

He then wondered what she did when she was so happy that she could cry, and what she did when she was angry. He wanted to see them all.

And, he wouldn't admit, he wondered what she would do if he kissed her, or if he held her hand. Would she shiver? Would she squeeze his hand? He wanted to know.

"Well, we must prepare the Keep for guests," Alicent said, but she couldn't help but notice how Valyria was attempting to hide her happiness. She deeply missed her family, and she was ecstatic to see them.

After supper, when her Grandsire had stood to leave, he held his hand out.

"Walk with me, Rhaenyra." Alicent painfully looked down at her hand, then smiled at her husband. "I shall be there shortly. Aemond, Aegon, Helaena, come." She took them away, and Valyria held her Grandsire as he walked, the Commander behind him.
