Valyria stood in a ballroom, along with Aemond, Aegon, and Helaena. Apparently, Alicent thought that they should all have a refresher in ballroom dancing, so she hired an instructor, and here they are.

The instructor, a fat bald man with proper manners and a cheery attitude had decided to pair each of them up and correct them as they went along.

They started with a traditional Valyrian dance that Valyria knew perfectly.

"Prince Aemond, you will be partners with Princess Valyria, and Prince Aegon, you will be partners with Princess Helaena. Let us begin." The orchestra began playing, and they danced.

Valyria's movements were fluid and perfect, and while Aegon and Helaena struggled, Aemond and the purple-eyed princess had no trouble. They moved in complete harmony as the instructor chastised the other children.

The whole time, Aemond had on an expressionless face. But inside, he was a bundle of nerves. He had never been this close to her, other than on dragonback. He saw how joyful she was while dancing, and he didn't dare mess with that joy.

Eventually, the instructor had them stop.

"See, look at the chemistry between the Prince and Princess! Strive for that, Prince Aegon and Princess Helaena." He let Aemond and Valyria take a break and walk about the ballroom as he corrected the siblings.

They walked with their arms intertwined as they hung close to the painted walls.

"You look lovely," Aemond said, looking down at her black dress with billowy open sleeves and a V-neck.

"You as well, Aemond. Your nameday is soon." He nodded, wondering where she was going with the statement. She looked up at him. "What should I get for the prince who has everything?"

He chuckled. "I do not want a gift from you. I am sure I will have enough." She snorted at his vanity and giggled lightly. "No, I think I will find you a present. I just have to figure out what. Hmm..."

She hummed to herself as she thought, and Aemond took that as an opportunity to think about what he would give her. Her nameday was the day after the next, and he had nothing.

He supposed he could give her something trivial, but he wanted to show her he cared. And that would mean it would have to be something priceless, yet comfortable. She deserved the best.

"My Prince, Princess! Come!" They walked back to where the instructor and the siblings were. He lawns was smiling shot, but Aegon just looked pissed.

"The Princess Helaena is improving, but Prince Aegon needs more practice. Princess, dance with Prince Aegon, and..." Valyria stood with Aegon as the instructor situated Helaena and Aemond.
