Leo's Pov,
Running into the office I hear Fawkes chippers before I practically crash into Hagrid. "Oi what's gotten you in such a hurry." Hagrid says as he turns around while I have a big smile on my face. "It's my birthday." I say as Hagrid lifts me up and places me on his shoulder. "Oi your lying.... not another year." He says and I nod my head as I look at mother and grandfather.
"But it is.... I turnend 11!" I practically yell at Hagrid as I lean my head down in front of his. "So when can we go get my wand! A-and all my other supplies!" I say with excitement as I look at the other adults. "Have you gotten a letter yet?" Mother asks me and my smile turns into a frown.
"I-I uhm no?" I say and she let's a smile form on her face as she steps over and holds a envelope out in my direction that I practically rip apart. Before pulling the letter out as my eyes dart over the words. "Dear Mr Black, blablablabla, Term begins on september 1 blablabla Yours Sincerely Minerva McGonagall!" I mumble before Hagrid places me down and I run over to mother while wrapping my arms around her torso.
"So, we can go for my wand now?!" I say with my smile as I look up at the woman who runs her hand through my black curls. "I do not know, I have still many letters to sent today." She says and all I can do is release a "ow" as I pull away from her. It's my 11th birthday! I can go get my wand..... get my stuff for school but I understand she has her duties.
"It's alright we can uhm go another time." I say as I turn around and walk over to Fawkes and pet his head. "I'll uhm see you all for lunch."
"Get ready Leo we are leaving in 30 minutes." Mother says and I quickly run back over to her to pull her into a hug while I jump up and down right now. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I yell before running away again and as I jump down the few stairs I slip and fall down before practically crawling away as I get up again!
McGonagall's Pov,
Seeing Leo dart out of Albus's office I can't stop the chuckle that leaves my lips. "Sometimes it's still like yesterday he got here." Albus says with a hint of a smile on his lips while he sits in his chair. "Aye, he's getting big and strong." Hagrid says and I nod my head, indeed.... sometimes it's like yesterday when I decided to adopt the boy as my own. When Remus brought him here we all didn't know what to do with the boy, Sirius was going to Azkaban............ Emily was dead, she died protecting her son. Remus loved the boy, but he couldn't take care of him with his condition. So, the child would have gone to an orphanage, and for some reason when he openend his eyes and looked upon me I couldn't let him go.
He's my son, but I never shielded him away from who his parents are..... did we tell him the full truth? No we did not, but he knows that his real mother was named Emily and his father is Sirius Black.
"He's been so eager and now the day is upon us." Albus says as he gets up from his chair. "And before we know it, he'll graduate.... fall in love." He adds making me look towards the man. "That's in the future, for now he will be getting ready for his first school year." I say and this day was something that looked far away in the future but here we are.
"Ow I need to go get my gift." Albus says and I raise my brow at the man. "Something safe please, last year you got him a Nimbus 2000 and he broke his arm." I state to the older man who lets a smile grow on his face. "As my memory is correct you wished for him to try out for Quidditch when he was old enough.... but no I think he will like this." The man says before turning to Hagrid.
"You know what to do, Hagrid."
"Yes... yes Professor."
Soon not only Leo will attent this school but also his cousin Harry Potter.... two boys who've lost so much at a young age..... two boys with an uncertain future. Two boys who might find a missing piece of themselves when they meet. The child we saw grow up into a fine young boy, will soon stat to turn into a man.
"The Boy's who lived." Albus says and it pulls me out of my thoughts only to find Hagrid already left the room. "Your worried for something." I say as I look at the man who shrugs his shoulder. "Ow I'm always worried for the new Schoolyear.... now I would adivi-" He starts before it's cut short as the door flies open and Leo runs out way making me raise my brow at the boy who has his shirt on backwards.
"I'm done!"
"First of all didn't we discuss something about running into rooms without knocking, second of all your shirt is on backwards." I state making the boy look down before quickly tacking his shirt off as my eyes fall upon the scar on his chest that he's had since that night. Dark Magic gave it to him and so nothing would ever be able to heal it.
"I-I'm sorry, but can we go now!" He practically yells as he fixes his shirt making Albus snicker as he walks over to Leo. "I will see you for supper." He says before aparating to who knows where, with that man it's always a question and now with Leo's birthday gift? I think I do not even wish to know.
"Are you ready?" I ask him and he quickly nods his head with that smile that makes hearts warm up. "Then I think we have many things to get today."
