Part 2,

Leo's Pov, 

Walking outside after I put all of my stuff away I see Severus stand there and I let a grin appear on my face. "Stupefy!" I cast and to my surprise the man is sent flying as I start to laugh. "Leonidas Black! Have you lost your mind! Using magic on a teacher! Outs-" 

"But I am in Hogwarts." I say shyly as I cut mother off who's shooting daggers at me. "And I wished to try my new wand, I'm sorry Severus." I say as I run over to the man and help him up while he looks at me in shock. 

"That was some good magic for your first time!" Grandfather says proudly and I turn towards him with a smile as I hold my wand. "Right? You should have seen me with the others I blew up this cabinet they all just felt.... felt weird? This one feels right, Olivander says that the wand chooses the wizard which I thought was weird but this wand dropped onto the ground as if it wanted me to notice it." I start before my eyes widen as I see a black puppy run over to me. 

"IS THAT A PUPPY!" I yell at the top of my lungs as I run over to the animal and fall on my knees while pulling it into a bone crushing hug. "Ow Albus, no.... no your own rules no dogs." Mother says while I release some laughter as the pup is licking my face off while it's tail wags. "That's not a dog." Hagrid says as I lift the pup up and look it over, it indeed doesn't look like a dog? 

"No! No! And once again No Albus! Your not giving him one of those wolf pups!" 

"It's a wolf!?" I say with wide eyes as I look the pup over who whimpers at me as it tries to move closer. "I wished to gain him a dog but just as I was about to leave this little one ran out of the forest." Grandfather says as the pup is starting to lick all over my face again. 

"Mother pleassssssse I'll take good care of it." I plead with her as I shuffle over on my knees while she rolls her eyes at me. "Oi come on Professor you know those wolves mean no harm and are very smart.... very smart creatures indeed." Hagrid says and I nod my head in agreement. The tale goes that the wolves in the Forbidden Forest were born out of two werewolves who mated on a full moon and thus normal looking wolves where born..... with no desire for human flesh and smarter and more intelligent than normal wolves.... this could be a grand-grandchild of those wolves? 

"It's a wild animal, I'm sor-" 

"Ow please I promise I'll be good, just look at her." I say as I hold the black pup out towards her and she shakes her head before I hear a very and I mean very soft. "Fine." 

"Yes!" I yell as I jump up with the pup who releases a howl that I soon join her in while I know my mother just rolled her eyes. "If he bites anyone, or you're not properly taking care of it he's going back to the forest." Mother adds while I'm practically jumping up and down right now. "He's a she and I will name her..... hmmm shadow?" I ask the pup where no sound is getting out from. 

"Dusk?" 

"Ivy?" 

"Dawn?" I now ask making the pup bark at me as I pat her head. "Alright it seems like your name is Dawn." I say as I take a seat at the picknick table..... when the weather is nice in the summer we tent to eat outside instead of the mostly deserted Great Hall.  "Your also grounded for the week." She says and as I open my mouth to argue with her about it she's quick to speak. 

"For using a spell beyond your years and on a teacher for that matter!" 

"I thought he did really well for his first time." Severus says and I can't stop the snicker that leaves my lips. "And as punishment you'll be training with me every evening." Grandfather says and I look towards the man with a smile while mother sends a glare his way.
