The Noble House Black.

Part 10

Leo's Pov, 

Christmas is here and most people are leaving to go home, I'm staying like every year and it doesn't really matter I've been reading in my own 'library' to find anything about Nicholas Flamel. We've looked in the normal library already 50 times and found absolutely nothing! The founders are well nice? I think well Salazar is cocky and arrogant but I don't know they've been telling me about basic spells and once I have them under control I can move on onto other magic? Harry is well getting a bit on my nerves he says that Severus is the one who was jinxing my broom but I've know the man for all my life, and sure he's mostly cold towards people but he's always been nice in his own way to me? He would never harm me like that, but no Harry is convinced that Severus is after what Fluffy is guarding. 

Holding the present I soon see Hermione walk out of the school and I give her a smile as I run over, I found a first edition copy of Hogwarts A History and I think she will like it? "Hey Leo, I uhm think you're staying, right?" She asks and I nod my head so far practically everyone is leaving well Harry and Ron are staying, and I spend the holidays with Mother and Grandfather mostly. 

"Uhm yes no need to leave when my family is here, also here for Christmas." I say as I hold the present out towards her and the girls eyes widen. "You got me a gift?" She asks in disbelief, 

"Well, your my friend so why wouldn't I. I hope you have a great holiday." I say with a smile as she shyly takes the gift from me. "Thank you, and you are too. I'll see you after the break."  Hermione says as she takes her trunk again and starts to walk away through the snow with the rest of the students while I give her a wave when she turns around only to wave quickly back at me. 

And I just keep standing there in the snow until she is completely out of view before I practically run back into the castle it's so cold outside!

Walking into grandfathers' office with Bandit on my shoulder I pass Fawkes and pet his head while grandfather sits on his desk with a cup of tea, of course he always has a cup of tea. "Ow Leo just the man I've been looking for." Grandfather says and I turn towards him with a raised brow. 

"Why have you been looking for me?"

"Can I not ask how your studies have been going." He says as he motions for me to take a seat opposite from him which I do while Bandit looks around at all the shiny, sparkly things in the office. "You're the headmaster so I think you know how my classes are going, don't you?" I ask the man with a raised brow who releases a small laugh at my words. 

"Indeed I do, I just wish to know about your friends you already know students from the other years but now these friends you make will go with you through the years." He says and I nod my head. "It's nice I think? Like it's still different since my schoolwork is different and I don't belong to a house but at the other hand that means that I will always win the House Cup." I state making the man shakes his head with a chuckle. "And with the founders?" 

"They have been teaching me about basic spells, but I uhm didn't you have a friend once what was his name Nicholas Flamel?" I ask grandfather as I lean back into the chair and the man nods his head as he picks up his cup of tea. "I do why are you asking me." He asks me and I shrug my shoulders as I pet Bandit's stomach. 

"Isn't he famous for something? I've read about him somewhere or you told me about it but it's kind of gone right now....... like he's super old isn't he?" I say making Grandfather nod his head as he sips from his steaming warm tea. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD ON! 

"He created the philosopher's stone!" I yell with wide eyes, it's this stone that makes the drinker of it's elixir immortal that's why Nicholas Flamel is so old! "Indeed he did and it now resides in Hogwarts." Grandfather says and wait what?! 

"B-but why?" 

"Because the wizard who gave you and Harry your scars wishes to have it, if he gains it he'll come back to power we have to protect it Leonidas.... we have to protect the world from T-" 

"From Voldemort." I say as I cut grandfather off with a frown on my face, the stone is here in Hogwarts and he wishes to have it. "That's what Fluffy is guarding." I state making Grandfather raise his brow at me. "I thought your mother told you to not wander around anymore, what if you had gotten hurt?" 

"Fluffy would never hurt me he likes it when I sing for him just like the other creatures.... like a Animal Siren." I state with my best smile as I get up from the chair as Bandit moves to sit on my shoulder again. "Leonidas you can't tell anyone, if people know that the stone is here and where it is..... it will be in more danger than it might already be." Grandfather says and I take a deep breath. 

"Also this came for you." He says as he holds a letter out with a package and I shake my head. "Is it from Remus?" I ask the man who nods his head. "Throw it away." I state as I turn away from grandfather to make my way out of his office. 

"He wishes to know you Leo, he's your godfather after a-" He starts before I cut him off as I whip my head back around. "I-I don't care, he left me ready to be shipped off to a orphanage..... if it wasn't for mother I would have grown up there with no family he didn't wish to be my family back than and I don't wish to be his now, he and Sirius can have one another."  I say with a shake of my head. 

"People do things out of reasons, the more letters you burn the further away from you the reason for what he did goes. You'll never know, but I don't think someone who doesn't care would have been sending you letter and gifts for the last 10 years now would he?" Grandfather says an I shake my head as I start to walk out of the office.

Walking through the dark corridors I soon enter a room making a frown settle on my face by the large mirror that's the only thing here. Never seen that one here but more new things have been popping up this year, magical room with portraits of the Founders, Fluffy, philosopher's stone, and now a mirror. 

Making my way over to it I soon let a bigger frown settle on my face as not just me stands there but a woman with black hair, dark brown eyes and a smile on her lips as she moves to stand next to me..... seeing a man with black hair and grey eyes a lean build but also a big smile on his lips move to my other side soon I see mother, grandfather and Severus also walk out with this man in raggy clothes and scars on his face making me look between the people. 

Looking up I see the random words on the mirror making me tilt my head before I think the light above my head went on as well it's a mirror! It's backwards, right? 

"I show not your face but.... but your heart's desire." I read before I look back at the mirror with a scoff leaving my lips as I look at the man beside me. "You're not my desire., your the face of my nightmares." I say before quickly walking or more like running out of the room. 

I have no desire for my father he's a murderer.... he's at fault for having Harry had to grow up with those stupid muggle. No I have no desire for that man and never will I have he can rot in Azkaban for all I care. 

Slamming into someone I look up to see Severus stand there while my arms wrap around the man as a tear runs down my cheek. "I-I" He stutters out before a hand is wrapped around me. "It's going to be alright I promise, now come on you still promised me you'd help me with making some potions for the new term." Severus says and I nod my head before pulling away from his chest and wiping the tear away. 

"O-oke."
