Part 10

Leo's Pov. 

The whole of Hogwarts is in a bloody mess with nervous boys wanting to ask someone to the ball and girls longing for the boy they want to ask them. Who am I going to ask? Well I uhm was you know thinking about Hermione? Would that be weird? I don't know I like spending my time with her and well.... she's just so you know beautiful?  I think the whole of Hogwarts is staying this year I well always stay in the break because I live her but you know? 

"So how are you going to do it? Some flowers? Slay a beast and win her hand?" Godric asks me and I shrug my shoulders. "Wouldn't it be weird? Like asking her?" I say as I look at the portraits. 

"Weird? Do you want to go to the ball with her?" Helga asks me and I nod my head. "Than it's not weird for you to ask the one you wish to go with." She says with a soft smile as I release a deep breath. 

"Just step up to her and ask her what you want to ask, she'll understand what you want." Rowena says reassuring and I puff my cheeks out as I pick up Bandit. "Come on little one."

Hermione's Pov, 

Sitting in the library I release a sigh as I close the book and run my hand through my hair, I think more than half of the girls are waiting for Leo to ask them to go with him to the Yule Ball...... would it be foolishly stupid if I have a small bit of hope he will ask me? It's probably just foolish he has so many girls to choose  from there is no way he'll go for me.

"He-mini." The thick accent of Victor Krum spoke making me turn towards him....... he's been at the library so much. "Wuod you go to the ba-" He starts before it's cut off as Bandit runs my way and climbs on the table before pulling at my hand. 

"I'm sorry Viktor I need to go." I say as I place the book back where it belongs and start to walk after Bandit what's gotten him in such a hurry? Normally he's pretty much asleep or spending his time either of Leo's shoulder or on Dawn's back. 

Making my way out of the library looks occasionally behind him to make sure I'm still there as he leads me out of the entrance hall and onto the courtyard where many people look in awe at the unicorn that's standing there before it walks over to me. 

"That's a unicorn?!" 

"What's it doing here?!" 

"You think we can touch it?" 

Students whisper amongst themselves as I walk over to Buck as a small note is tied to his mane. "Hey what are you doing here?" I softly ask as I stroke his fur before grabbing the small note as Bandit chippers in happiness. 

"To find me all you have to do is follow the steps, so hop on and Buck will take you to your next task." I read a loud as it's Leo's writing. Seeing Buck bow down I take a deep breath before climbing on as Bandit climbs on my shoulder and a yelp leaves my lips as the unicorn stands up straight again while I hear the others whisper about me climbing on top of a Unicorn.

Holding onto his manes soon Buck begins to walk off while I don't know what Leo's getting me into at this moment, but I can't stop the small smile that forms on my face as I hear people practically run after us to see what's going on right now. And I'm also wondering what's going on right now as Buck walks down towards Hagrid's cabin while his mane moves with the wind.

What's Leo planning? Of course, I've met some of the creatures he keeps or well holds close to him but to ride Buck? I for one never would have thought the wild Unicorn Stallion would let me come close to him without Leo around. 

Seeing Hagrid stand outside he soon waves my way in excitement as Dawn stands next to him with a bow tie around her neck and a roll of parchment in her mouth making some giggles leave my lips at just the sight of the large and normally quite intimidating black wolf now with a pink bow tie around her neck.
