The Noble House Black.

Part 14

McGonagall's Pov, 

Tonight is the feast and yet I am not hungry, I have no desire to be there...... he's still asleep, many of the other students have left gifts and cards for the 11 year old who was tortured by the cruciatus curse twice. I barely sleep, I can barely keep my food down.... not until his storm grey eyes open and he gives me that smile again that we all love. Not until his voice sings the halls again as he sings a song to himself..... or I have to scold him again for breaking the rules.... something he got from his father. 

He's a good boy but foolishly brave, he went through the tasks alone and he wished to protect Harry from Quirrell a teacher who we all trusted and yet was the wolf in sheep clothes. He was a pile of ashes when we reached the room and if he wasn't already I would have made him one when I say my son.... my little boy laying on the ground with cuts and bruises on his body from how it twitched and slammed against the floor while one of the Unforgivable curses was used against him. 

"He'll wake soon Minerva." The voice of Albus says as he places a hand on my shoulder while I sit next to Leo's bed with his hand in mine. "You said that yesterday and the day before that and so on." I say with a shake of my head as my eyes stay on the peaceful asleep face of the boy who has some cuts and scratches on his face. 

"Courage and Strength is not something he misses, Harry spoke of how he fought against Quirrell a man with many years and knowledge ahead of Leonidas and yet he was stronger than Quirrell as he blasted him away a couple of times to protect himself and Harry." He speaks and Harry woke up this morning and yet no sign has been made from Leo as a sign that he will awake soon. 

"He never should have been there in the first place none of them." I say with a shake of my head, they were in so much danger.... there were things there that could have killed them. "They shouldn't have been but just like their fathers Harry and Leonidas don't really follow rules, imagine what would have happened if they would not have been there....... and Quirrell got the stone for his master? They are young and foolishly reckless but sometimes that's needed, he'll awake Minerva and before you know it your scolding the boy again for wandering through the Forbidden Forest." He says as he gives my shoulder a squeeze before walking off making a sigh leave my lips as I lean towards Leo's forehead. 

"Wake up soon oke? I love you." I whisper before placing a kiss against his forehead. 

Some Day's Later. 

Leo's Pov, 

Feeling my eyes try to open I release a groan from the distant pain that is in my body before I open my eyes and rub them to try and adjust to the light in the Medical Wing. Slowly but surley sitting up I look around me only to see it absolutely deserted while lots of gifts and get well cards surround me. 

"Where the bloody hell is everyone?" 

Hermione's Pov, 

Standing next to Harry and Ron as we've put our trunks on the train I take a deep breath. "Doens't it feel wrong to just leave him?" I ask as Leo is still asleep........ we all heard what Quirrell did he used a unforgivable curse twice on Leo...... Harry said it was terrible the screams.... how his body spasmed on the ground I -I don't ever want to see something like that. 

I never really had friends in the muggle world but Leo was the first one here to become my friend, and now we have to leave while he still lays in the Medical Wing unconscious. "He would have stayed anyway this is his home." Ron says as if it's that simple I know Leo would have stayed but he would have been awake...... not asleep and that no one knows when he wakes up. 

Making our way into the train we soon hear Hagrid practically yell at the top of his lungs making my eyes widen. "WAIT! OI YOU BLOODY BOY!" He yells but with happiness in his tone making me look out of the window before my eyes widen as a gasp leaves me by Leo sitting on a unicorn that gallops this way. "He's awake!" Harry yells before we and many more students run out of the train and towards our friend that dismounts the magnificent creature and is being pulled into hugs or just pats on his shoulder by many older students. Everyone was worried about Leo, the older students know him longer and he seems close with some of them. 

"You were all going to leave without saying bye?" He says with a cheeky smile on his lips before he's being pulled into a bone crushing hug by Harry. "Oi my ribs you bloody fool." Leo says with a gasp while I just look with shock still at the boy who's been asleep for what feels months. 

"Have you lost your mind?!" Daphne yells as she slaps his arm. "Next time we throw teachers around I want to join." She adds making some of the people start to laugh. "Alright, alright............. now uhm I will write to you all if you wish?" Leo shyly asks as he looks at Harry, Ron, Blaine, Daphne and me. "Y-yes I would like that." I say as I look at him and he gives me a nod. 

"I for one can't make any promises, but I'll try." Ron says before the whistle of the train is being heard again. "Well go on before it leaves without you all." Leo says as he hugs Harry, Ron and Blaise briefly before practically shoving them into the train. 

"If you shove me, you'll have a boot against your face." Daphne says making the boy put his hands up in surrender before she gets on the train. "Have a nice summer Hermione, and I uhm will write to you." He says with his smile that makes my cheeks heat up and all I can do is quickly nod my head before stepping into the train. 

"Bye! See you guys after the summer! Be safe! Ow and Harry tell your uncle if he doens't behave I'll let Bandit lose on his house!" Leo yells as we wave at the boy while the train slowly but surely starts to move away from Hogwarts and towards London. 

"See you after the summer bye!" 

"Be safe!" 

"Have a great summer mate!" 

"Don't get in any more trouble!" 

"I won't ZAWINI!" 

Author's Note, 

Aaaah the end of Book 1, like book 1 and two will be shorter and two will be like 9 chapters only! After that it becomes longer so yeah!
