The Kitchen Dining Land_

"You're going to go easy on them, aren't you?" I asked Mirio as we waited for the first years joined us.

"Hmm—just enough," he answered, shooting me a thumbs up, "don't worry, I've got this."

I'm not worried about if you've got this or not... I'm worried about the state of the first years at the end of this encounter.

"Sure... ok," I sighed before glancing to the door and silently watching as Class 1-A came into the building.

It seemed they didn't really believe Mirio when he said he'd fight the entire class and doubted it as he was stretching. I was sat on a section of the area that'd been raised just slightly and Tamaki had his head flat against my back. Nejire was also sat with us, smiling.

"Crazy guy," I shook my head.

Although, if I was allowed to fight, I can't deny that I quite possibly would've also joined in on this. It's always good fun to battle Mirio... even if he puts me on my ass every damn time.

"Is he... for real?" Sero asked as we watched the guy stretch out his legs.

"Oh yeah. Totes real," Mirio replied confidently.

"Mirio, you're impossible," Tamaki said, "it would've been simple enough for us to just tell them what it's like, here's what we learnt from it, not everyone has your level of drive. Plus think about it, what if some of them can't recover after fighting you? No one wants to spend the next few years in a hospital bed."

"I bet he's just trying to psych us out," Kirishima declared all too confidently.

"He's really not," I replied as Tamaki's head seemed to press a little harder into my back, "Tamaki—"

"Sorry," he muttered, lightening his press again causing me to let out a slightly relieved sigh.

"Hey! Listen up, it's story time," Nejire spoke up as she messed around with Ashido's horns, "long ago a student got frustrated in class and quit being a hero and it was terrible for everyone. Did you know that? So, Mirio, I know your job is tough, but you better make sure you know what you're doing, be careful, ok?"

Was she referring to a hero gone villain?

"Nejire, stop messing around with Ashido's horns," I glared at her, and she just gave me a small grin before turning towards Mirio again.

"Let's think about this. You're obviously much further ahead of us, but we've fought pros before," Tokoyami stated.

"Not to mention. We took down some legitimate villains," Kirishima added on, "I don't think you need to worry about hurting us."

"Said the mouse to the lion," I sighed, the group all looked up at me and I just gave them a pitying look, "you guys have no idea what Mirio's capable of. Trust me, the guy is capable of hospitalising you if he really wanted to. And honestly, it's bold of you to assume these guys haven't fought pros or villains before. You'll find your experiences aren't all that unique once you find out just what the work studies are."

Of course, most of their encounters with villains have been when they were being attacked doing school activities and ours are more of a working with the pros and being attacked that way. Besides two occasions, we all have only really interacted with villains when working with the pros in our work studies, I suppose. Regardless, the first years are far too confident about this mini fight if it'll even be able to be called that. It may be more accurate to call it a one-sided beat down.

"Well, we're not a bunch of wannabes, Lionel," Kirishima replied, still far too confident in his position standing across from Mirio.

I just sighed and shook my head, "well, sure, ok. Good luck to you all then, I guess."
