"Hey, Tamaki," I approached the pointed eared boy as we were leaving school, he shot me a curious look, stuttering out a nervous greeting. God. He's so cute.
"Do you want to go out with me tonight?" I asked, "or actually, why don't you come over and we'll watch some movies. Better than crowds, right?"
He stared at me for a moment before his face exploded in red and he face planted my arm.
"L-like a d-date?" he asked me.
"Yeah," I nodded, smiling down at his form, "unless you don't want to then... I totally would understand..."
"N-no," he visibly panicked, grabbing my shirt, and looking up at me, "I-I'd like t-to..."
"Great!" I grinned, grabbing my bag, and starting to walk out, I glanced over to see Tamaki frozen by the side of his desk, "Hey, you coming?"
"U-uh—yes!" he nodded, snapping out his trance and rushing over to me. We walked out the school in a comfortable silence until Tamaki poked my shoulder a couple times.
"W-what happened with the t-teachers?" he asked, "y-you're not getting k-kicked out are you?"
"No," I shook my head, "well, for now at least. But my position in the hero course seems to be on thin ice. I have to get into the top five in the sports festival to stay."
"O-oh..." he looked down, for some reason guilt was running over his face. Sighing, I stopped, and he paused too, shooting me a confused look until I pinched his cheeks and pulled at them.
"Stop making such a weird face," I told him, "it wasn't your fault. And besides, you and I both know that we become heroes. Just think about our future, yeah? I'm not going to be stopped here."
He glanced away but nodded and I let go of his cheeks before continuing to walk.
"Come on, this time I'm actually going to make it to the movie night," I chuckled, he followed me with a small smile before I felt a hand slip into mine, glancing over to Tamaki, I see he's just looking away, his ears and face rivalled that of even a first year with bright red hair that I bumped into a while ago.
He's so cute.
"Hailie?" a voice called, I paused causing Tamaki to stop as well, though not until after he had pulled on me slightly, we turned to see Lowell.
"Hailie?" Tamaki repeated, giving me a curious look.
"You know that everyone calls me Mikha when they're too lazy to say my whole name? Yeah it's his version of that," I said as Lowell jogged the last of the distance and grinned.
"You're out of the hospital! Wait—you're still bandaged, were you really that injured?" Lowell panicked as he noticed the bandages visible on my arms and neck from under my pe kit.
"Didn't I tell you not to worry?" I asked, "oh and to stop calling me Hailie? I'm not a girl."
"So? A guy can be called Hailie too," he pouted, "like Haily from America. He's a guy and he's called Haily."
"Fine. I'll give you that one," I sighed, "just please not in public, it's embarrassing."
"Whatever," he huffed before his gaze dropped down to mine and Tamaki's hands, he beamed and looked to Tamaki, "you must be Hailie's new boyfriend!"
He didn't hear even a word I said, huh?
"B-B-boyfriend..." Tamaki's grip on my hand tightened as his face flushed again.
"It's our first date, I don't want to rush him," I said as I let go of Tamaki's hand and dragged Lowell into a head lock, "now why're you out here and not in the hospital like you're supposed be?"
