"Considering the drug didn't block Suneater's quirk for good, it is quite likely that Fenniksu is fine that regard," Blaze stated as I retook my seat again, "the fact he hasn't freed himself yet makes us believe that he must be locked down pretty well or he wouldn't be staying this quiet for this long."

"Right. And continuing on the from lack of permanency in the drug, Eraser Head has some further insight," Nighteye gestured to the hero who looked over to us.

"It doesn't seem to function exactly like my Erasure does," he started, "since I'm not attacking the quirk directly. What we call a quirk is an extraordinary addition to the normal human body. Those additions are collectively known as 'quirk genes' I can shield those genes and temporarily block them, but I don't actually damage them."

"But after Tamaki, here, was shot, we brought him to the hospital and found that his quirk genes had sustained damage," Fatgum cut in, "fortunately they seemed to have healed back on their own and he's back to normal now."

"What do we know about the substance he was shot with?" Nighteye asked.

"Whatever it was didn't harm the rest of his body," the larger hero answered, "nothing but his quirk was impaired in anyway. The guy who shot him clammed up. He won't say a word. And the round that hit Tamaki was totally spent. However, Kirishima bravely defended Tamaki from a bullet."

I didn't know that.

Sounds like Tamaki could've been shot twice.

One bullet wore off but what if he was doubt dosed... we may not have such a happy story.

"Which then bounced off his body and should now provide us with a viable sample," Fatgum concluded.

"Oh! I did that? Really?" Kirishima looked baffled, "that's crazy..."

They should've at least told these kids what they were doing here... what they're contributing. Isn't putting them on the spot like this a bit much?

"Wow! Awesome job, Kirishima!" Uraraka exclaimed.

"That's so cool," Asui agreed as Nejire grinned.

"Oh yah! His quirk, it's hardening, right?" she reminded us.

"—And when we analysed the substance from the bullet, we discovered something that made me sick to my stomach," Fatgum continued on, here it is. The hard hitter of this brief, "it contained human blood and cells."

The room fell silent for a moment as we all felt the feeling of dread and shock fall over us as the disclosure of its composition. I'd heard it was enough to anger the usually smiling hero but this? This is more than nothing. This is insanity. Does that mean somewhere out there someone is locked up, being tested on? Being turned into a living human weapon?

I glanced to Blaze as a question fell over me and based off his expression, it was clear he was thinking the same thing: could my Dad's healing abilities have something to do with why they took him and if so... was it for the purpose of making this drug?

"In other words, that affect came from a person," Ryukyu stated, "from someone's power. A quirk that can destroy quirks."

One of the heroes not far down from her let out a low grumble before speaking up, "I'm not connecting the dots here. How is all of this connected to Hassaikai?"

"Isn't it obvious?" I let out a low sigh as I propped my elbow up on the table and leaned my face into my hand, looking over at him, "despite everything we've just heard from Fatgum, the events of my—Fenniksu's kidnapping and the clear use of the drug. Well, I don't think it could be any clearer honestly. The case can be one of two things—"
