Y/n's pov

I slept until 2 pm today because I decided to skip class with all the chaos that's been happening lately. Since people were at Chloe right now I decided it would be the perfect time to take a shower since no one would see me which is exactly what I did.

I caught up on some of my work after my shower and by the time I was done it was 6 pm.

The halls were quiet and I contemplated if it were okay to go outside. Before I could think I got a text

Justin: come to my dorm

Wow real inviting... but I did as it it said. Before I left my room I put my ear against my door to see if I could hear anyone out there. I didn't want to run into anyone. Luckily for me no one was out there so I sprint out my room and quickly leave the dorms with anyone seeing me. I swiftly walked to the boys dorm and walked inside making sure no one saw me as it was allowed but of course people broke the rules often.

When I stepped inside I saw Nathan step out of his room. We made eye contact I was still a little nervous around him after what happened in the bathroom the other day. He stops in his tracks for a moment and I can tell he's about to say something but I just keep walking.

I knock on Justin's door and he opens it, "aye come in" he says which I do. "Hey..." I say awkwardly and sit on his bed and he shuts the door but stays standing.

"I wanted you to come here because- uh well I'm... I was a dick and I'm sorry. I only reacted like that because- because Ilikeyou and I thought you were hooking up with him and you know how I feel about him." Justin says, I notice how quickly he said he likes me.

"It's okay justin, I'm dealing with a whole not right now that everyone thinks me and him hooked up yknow? I'm more mad at Victoria than you." I tell him  and he nods and apologies again

"Well uh wanna hang out or something- I uh want us to stay friends"

"I would but unfortunately I have a project to finish, maybe some other time?"

"Yeah that's fine y/n" I stand up and as I exit he says

"Y/n, you look good" he tells me and I smile and say thanks

I walk back to the dorms and ponder on what Justin said. He said I looked good but Nathan said I was the prettiest girl he had ever seen...but the difference is justin was sober and Nathan wasn't.

I step inside my dorm and lay on my bed. I had lied to justin about having a project. In all honesty I just didn't wanna hang out. I sit on my phone and scroll for about an hour and it's not 8 pm.

Unknown: meet me in the parking lot at 11. Don't be late

I see the text and look at it confused. Who could that be? I wondered if it was someone who I knew but had gotten a new number.

I didn't think much about it and when 11 roles around I decided I should go. I grab mace just incase and he's outside to the parking lot.

When the parking lot come into view I see a figure and at first I couldn't tell who it was until I got closer.

"You're late" Nathan says as I walk up to him

"I thought you weren't gonna wait?" I ask him and he shrugs and says "felt generous"
"Riiight" I say sarcastically.
He's leaning on his truck and copy his stance

"I talked to Victoria" he tells me as he takes a deep inhale of his cigarette.
"Okay...?" I say confused as to where he's going with this
"She told me the truth, she said she spread the rumor and that she heard it from Justin or something" he tells me
"Oh"
"So- uh I wanted to apologize for being a dickhead on the bathroom. You've- idk always been nice to me i guess so I'm sorry"

"It's okay Nathan" I tell him as I rub my arms due to the cold air hitting me. Nathan must've noticed this as he holds his cigarette in his mouth and takes off his jacket and hands it to me without saying anything. I take it and put it on, "thank you"

"That's not all I wanted to say, i actually wanted to know what really happened at the party. I was shitfaced as you know and don't really remember it much" Nathan tells me

"Well what'd ya want to know?" I ask

"Everything I guess" he blows smoke out

"Well I was sitting on one of the couches and I wa about to leave when you walked over and said something along the lines of 'you came' and uh we takes for a while. Just about dumb stuff and reminiscing I guess. I say I'm gonna go home, you say you are too. I help you get there because obviously you were in no condition to do so- and we got to your dorm and I helped you settle in and uh-" I remember what happened next

"And then what?" He asks

"I was about to leave and you said something and then I left" I tell him

"What did I say?" He looks at me and tosses his cigarette on the ground and steps on it.

"Uhm that- iwastheprettiestgirlyoudeverseen" I say quickly in hopes that he didn't understand me, I hear him chuckle to himself. "Well at least I got one thing right" as he says that my heart does a backflip. Which I wasn't even sure was possible.

"Thanks tho, you didn't have to get me home but you did." He says finally and I smile "of course"

"It's getting late I should go to bed" I say as I look up at the sky

"Yeah.." Nathan says in response

And before I walk away i say, "there's a part at the mill this Friday be there" I see him smile and I then walk back to my dorm.

Wait, did Nathan just admit he thinks I'm the prettiest girl he's ever seen?
