Y/n's pov:

A couple weeks had passed and the end of the school year was creeping up closer and closer. My stress was growing more and more and the questions about my future were also occurring more and more. Infact principal Wells decided to set a meeting with the counselor for me or talk about college. Anyway, the play was tomorrow night.

It was relatively short and in order to audition u need have a good grasp on almost all of the lines so it didn't take long for us to be done. I'm mainly excited because my parents will be there as well as Steph. Hell even Drew said he would come! It wasn't going to be awesome . And she would finally be able to meet Nathan. Speaking is him I was in his room laying with him on his bed talking about photography mainly. He was complaining about the Mr. Jefferson and how he wouldn't know real talent if it slapped him in the face. It was Friday night which was why I was at Nathan's Which caused me to laugh. In the middle of our conversation I get a phone call from no one other than Steph.

"Do you mind if I answer this?" I ask and he says "not at all" and I stand up from the bed to answer it. "Steph!" I say into the phone cheerfully. "Yo y/n me and my P.O. Andy are officially on our way!" She says to me on the found sounding almost as equally excited as I. "I can't wait for you to see the show! And get to meet Nathan, as well as my parents and all my other friends!" I tell her. I haven't seen her in so long and it's not easy for us to get a hold of each other sometimes as she's forced to follow a certain schedule. "Me too! I haven't been out of Michigan in so long! I'm really clean this time y/n and ... you really helped me." She tells me and I get a little emotional and I can hear from the sound of her voice that she is too. "I'm glad I had that- affect on you Steph." I tell her.

"Yeah... ugh this car ride is gonna suck! It's too long and Andy won't let me change this awful music!" she complains dramatically and I hear a faint voice in the back ground say, "my car, my tunes!" "I assume that's Andy?" I ask with a laugh.

"Yeah, anyway whatcha doing? I'm sure it's hard to sleep on a night before the big show!" She says. I look at Nathan and say, "well I'm actually in Nathan's room right now" I hear her gasp and Nathan looks up at me from his phone when he hears his name. I study him for a moment. He's shirtless and has messy hair, not a sight many people are lucky enough to see. "Ooo lala I hope I didn't interrupt anything" she says. I laugh "no no no nothing like that Steph." I reply. "Andy is saying we are about to go through somewhere that has bad signal, I'll cya tomorrow y/n break a leg!" She says and I reply with a "bye I can't wait to see you!" And the phone cuts out.

I sigh and walk on over to the bed. I sit down and get under the covers and lay my head on Nathan's chest. "That was Steph?" He asks. "Yeah, I can't wait for you to meet her." I tell him as I yawn. "Is she like- out of rehab for good now or?" He asks. "Im not entirely sure of the situation but she told me she's actually clean now and that I was a lot of help. Crazy because she's the one who helped me." I reply.

"Who's all coming for you tomorrow?" He asks. I think for a moment and say, "my dad, my mom or so she says, Steph, Drew, Mickey, and their dad. What about you?" "Mom and dad and hopefully Kristen, but I'm not sure I'll be that lucky." He confesses and I sigh. Kristen is the only person in Nathan's family that actually seems to care about him.

"Include my parents on that list too!" I say playfully and I can tell he smiles when he says, "gladly"

Nathan saw my dad as a father figure and it's definitely helped him a lot. He went to a couple of Nathan's games and they even call sometimes which I think is funny. Ever since they have met I've noticed Nathan's mental health improving.
