Guilty As Sin? (Nathan Prescott x reader)

Y/n's pov

I was finally done. My dad would be picking me up in no time. I packed all my stuff, and started saying my goodbyes. I promised Steph I would call and write her and when she gets out she better come and visit me.

"Y/n you're checked out" the nurse says. I smile and hug Steph. "Be safe out there and don't end up back here!" Steph warns me and I smile. When I leave the building and enter the parking lot I see my dad and I run over and hug him. "I missed you dad!" I say and he tells me he missed me too.

The road trip was long, when I got back to Arcadia Bay dad and I had dinner at two whales and then he dropped me off at my dorms. I was so exhausted from the day I fell asleep instantly.

When I woke up for school I showered and did my regular morning routine. I put in extra effort for my look today cause I'd be seeing Nathan for the first time since I left, and I was nervous but I knew he would be happy to see me so I didn't worry too much. When I left my dorm with my bag I made a quick stop at Dana's. When she opened the door Dana freaked out in excitement and hugged me tighter than I would've thought. "I'm glad you're back y/n!"

"Thanks I'm glad to be back" I smile. "I'm so excited for Drama today! I missed it all summer" Dana tells me and I agree. "I actually enjoyed being on the stage, even if it was a set up" I laugh as I speak to which she laughs too.

"Well I know you enjoyed it so hush, I'm hoping this year we will do The Great Gatsby!" Dana tells me.

We talk for a little more until I head to our of the dorms and begin my walk to the school. I was looking around for Nathan but have yet to spot him yet. Instead I bumped into a familiar face.

"Warren! How was your summer?" I ask him politely. "It was great y/n, I went to a science conference for a short part of it and it was awesome!" He tells me  happily which makes me smile. "That's good to hear" we talk for a few moments more then go our separate ways.   I get to my locker and put my bag inside. I'm grabbing the things I need for my first class which is unfortunately Chemistry.

I'm looking around for anyone; Trevor, Dana, Nathan, Warren, Max. No sign of them. That was until I was walking into chemistry and saw the infamous red letterman jacket. Unfortunately for me tho he was talking to some girl. I couldn't make out who it was but I didn't like. As I was walking closer to them Nathan spotted me and as I'm about to smile and say something he gives me a dirty look and walks away. What the fuck?

I rolls my eyes in response. Maybe he's just tired and had a bad morning. I go through my classes and it goes the way most first days do. Introductions, rules, get to know me's. All the boring stuff. When lunch came around I was putting my stuff in my locker, hoping Nathan would need to go to his locker to so we could talk. He doesn't and when I'm walking through the crowded hallway I feel someone shoulder check me, when I go to see who did it I see a red jacket walking away.

"Y/n, how's your classes so far?" Max asks me. I'm sitting with her and Warren today for lunch. "Not great, they seem boring. But I do get the coolest lab partner soooo" I say smiling. "Thanks y/n 3rd years the charm right?" Warren replied. Warren and I have been science partners for this being our 3rd year in a row.

As I'm listening to max talk I watch Nathan exit the lunch room. "If you guys will excuse me I'll cya later!" I tell them and follow Nathan. I watch him walk into the boys bathroom. And I wait a few moments before following and walking inside. When I do I see Nathan with his hands on the sink looking in the mirror tiredly.

"Nathan, what's wrong?" I ask him. "What the fuck do you want?" He says to me. "The fuck is your problem? You keep avoiding me, you pushed me in the hallway, and you ignored me all summer, plus I saw you talking with that chick in the hallway" I tell him as I cross my arms waiting for a response. He looks at me like I just made the whole thing up.

"My problem? I didn't do shit! You're the one who didn't reach out all summer!" Nathan shouts back at me. "How was I supposed to contact you? I didn't have ur number memorized!" I ask Nathan.

"Well you didn't give me the information to where u were at so I couldn't talk to you..." Nathan says slowly. "Yes I did I sent you an email-" I say as I grab my phone to show him but see that I hadn't sent it and it was a draft. "Shit Nathan I'm sorry" I apologize. He doesn't say anything but walks over to me and kisses me gently. "I missed you" I still him softly. "Let's go get dinner tonight."
