"Alright everyone I have great news!" Mr. Keaton, our drama teacher announces. We all wait in anticipation.
"We will be doing the spring play!" We all cheer happily. "What are we doing?" Dana asks.
"Excellent question Dana! We will be doing...Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet! Dates of auditions are to be determined" Mr Keaton assures us. The bell rings and everyone begins to leave but Mr Keaton asks me to talk to him.

"Y/n if I'm being quite honest you're the best set designer we have...so I am giving you to option to make some of your own personal touches. I've sent you an email already on some of the things we will be needing but feel free to add thing if you think we need them"

"Will do mr k" I say and head out of class. I think about the play on my way to my locker as well as what I could add to the set. Who's gonna play Juliet? It would be ironic if Juliet played her. And what about Romeo? We don't have many boys to choose from.

I open my locker and place my notebook inside. Nathan comes up beside me and opens his locker. I look at him but for only a moment but he's already somewhat looking at me so I quickly advert my eyes. I swiftly grab my bag and leave.

Today no one was looking at me weird, or saying anything about me. I was glad and i wondered if Nathan's talk with Victoria had anything to do with that.

When I walked into my room I saw Nathan's jacket on my chair which reminded me that I needed to give it back to him.

Me: hey I have your jacket, when can I give it back?

Nathan: Friday @ the mill

I smile because this means he will be going. Though I'm not sure I could wait that long.

The next day in theater class

I walked in and had a seat and Mr Keaton begins, "alright everyone! I have scripts printed take one and pass them down" he says as he hands Dana the stack.
When I get mine I look through the pages. Romeo and Juliet is my favorite and I can't wait for us to do it.

"Nathan you're late" Keaton says as Nathan walks in. We make eye contact "sorry Mr. Keat" Nathan says and he sits behind me.

"To catch you up, we're doing Romeo and Juliet, you'll get a script in a few"

Mr Keaton goes on a long discussion about the history of this performance and why it's become so influential. The bell rings and Mr Keaton sighs in defeat because he couldn't finish his scpeal

When I get up I turn to Nathan and say "I didn't know you were doing theater this year" he looks at me and says "not really my choice, my dads making me says I have to make up for my last performance" he rolls his eyes remembering how it it went.

"Well good luck with auditions" I say and walk out
