I try to catch my breath with my hands over my head, trying to train after bearing a child is much harder than I expected. I mean, it's not like I have really been trying all that hard... It's been eight, almost nine years, since I have had a proper training regimen. Assuming I will be returning back as a teacher next school year, I have to get my body and technique in line.

"Why don't we race, Mama?"

It's hard to do anything when raising a child alone, especially one as energetic as Kai. I give him a silly look in response to his question. "I'd smoke you, kid." I say. Even after having a kid, I know that I still have more agility and strength than the average human. "1..." Kai begins to count, causing me to laugh. "I'm not gonna go easy on you." I say through my laughter. "2..."

"3...!"

Kai takes off before he even finishes his countdown. He gets a bit of a head start, but I am able to catch up quickly. "Gotta be faster!" I tease, and begin to sprint to pass him. "Wait! That's not fair!" He yells, not far behind me. "Life is not fair!" I yell, but I must have let my guard down, because soon I watch my white haired child fly past me. Huh?

I'm running as fast as I can, but he gapped me in less than five seconds. Did I let myself go that bad? There's no way... No there's literally no way, he's a Gojo. That's why. "I win!" Kai yells, as he touches the tree we were racing to.

"I guess..."

"Maybe you're..."

"Too fast..." I tell him in between breaths. Kai laughs at me, seemingly unphased by our race. I look at him confused, amazed by his incredible speed and endurance. "You never fail to impress me." I say and pat his sweaty head.

"Can I show you something?" I ask the eight year old, who looks at me with curious eyes and nods. I squat down to meet his eye level, and open my mouth wide. He looks in, confused by what I'm showing him. I lift up my tongue, and point at the Snake Eyes and Fangs markings. "What is that?" He tilts his head at the strange symbol.

"It's so I can do this." I say, and he scrunches his eyebrows at me. "Spin around in a circle." I say, infusing my cursed energy into my words. Kai does a 360 spin, not missing a beat. "What the-" He says, disoriented from what just occurred. "How did you do that?" He asks me.

"Let's sit for a second." I say with a smile, and then find a spot on the ground under the tree.

"There are things that make us different from other people. Like how we can see curses that nobody else can see." I tell the boy, he nods in understanding. "And people like us, people with cursed energy I mean, we usually have special abilities. They're called cursed techniques." I say, and he continues nodding. "Do you understand what I'm saying?" I ask him, trying to keep his attention on what I'm saying. "We have cursed energy, so we can do special things." He says, and I smile at him.

"What I just showed you, is called Cursed Speech. It's my technique." I tell him. I'm happy that he's finally at an age where he can grasp the concept of sorcery. "What's my technique?" He asks me, thrilled to be able to do what I just did. "Well, I don't know what your technique is yet. But soon, when we go see your father, we will learn more then." I tell him, and his face goes from excited, to looking down in disappointment.

"But I can tell you one thing though," I nudge his shoulder to cheer him up. "Those eyes of yours. They see a lot more than I can. More than I could ever imagine." I say, this causes him to look up from the ground. "Really?" I nod my head to him, and I can see his eyes light back up. "They're called Six Eyes, and only the clan that you come from can inherit them." I tell him, but at this point, he has lost focus on the conversation and is staring intensely around the park.

"How long has that dog been here?" I ask him, and Kai looks at me like I just asked the stupidest question he has ever heard. A stray dog is somewhere behind the tree, it was only until this moment that he has come close enough for me to sense him. "Uhm, the entire time." Kai answers in a dumbfounded voice. "Really? Cause I just noticed." I say, proving my point about his eyes.

"Is that why you never notice the man who hangs out across the street?" Kai asks as he stands from the ground. I raise an eyebrow and look at him confused. "Yeah, I think you gotta stop watching so many scary movies." I say, as I stand up myself.
