"Whitestone. Mined from our very mountains, its plain appearance belies an exceptional trait." Professor Anders explains to a young Percy, Cassandra, and Phoebe.

Percival and Phoebe was attentive in the lesson. Books stacked high next to Percy while Phoebe's were neatly placed as the both took notes. Cassandra on the other hand was bored with just one book as it was closed in front of her.

"When refined, it is known by another name." he asks, looking at the three from the corner of his eye as he held the green stone in his hand.

Percy raises his hand, Phoebe looks at him, "Residuum Glass, Professor Anders."

"Correct as always, Percival." Anders said with a roll of his eyes, Percival smiles at the approval, "Residuum is a potent arcane amplifier." Anders explains as Cassandra shot a look over at her brother and then a mischievous smile spread across her face.

She aims the straw and fired a spitball at him, hitting him in his ear. He stops taking notes and shot a glare at her as she went back to acting like she was just reading the book, but snickered to herself. Percy then glances at Phoebe who shakes her head at Cassandra's actions.

"Take this delicate Lambent Crystal, for instance." Anders covers a crystal as his picks its box. He then gently places the crystal on the holder and holds the glass close to the crystal, causing it to glow.

Phoebe's eyes widen in wonderment, "Incredible. What would happened if it touches it?"

Before Anders could answer, books topples over as Percy rises from his seat with a irritated look, "Ugh. Cass!" Phoebe sighs looking away while Cassandra giggles at him.

"Cassandra." Anders calls out, "Are you volunteering to demonstrate?" he questions with a stern frown at her.

She blinks, "Um, certainly, Professor." she answers as she stood from her chair.

She walks to the desk as he gestures for her to pick up the stone. She flicks her eyes down at the glass, picks it up and held it close to the crystal. "To answer your question Phoenicia, on its own, the light remains measured. However, when even a tiny bit of Residuum touches it..."

He moves both crystal and glass too close to one another as they were both in Cassandra's hands, the light illuminates brightly and with a small touch, the crystal shatters in her hand.

Cassandra jumps back with a gasp and looks up at the professor as he grins down at her. Then the doors opened, "You're not endangering the heirs of Whitestone, are you, Professor?" Inside walked in Lord Fredrick de Rolo along with his wife Johanna von Mussel de Rolo. Anders and the children look behind seeing them.

"No, of course not, my lord. Merely relaying the import of its most valuable commodity." Anders answers bowing while making himself presentable as he steps away from his desk.

"Do keep the children in one piece if you can?" Lady de Rolo asks, glancing at the children. Percy, Phoebe, and Cassandra smiled back at their mother.

They turn away, but Anders followed, rubbing his hands, "I-If I may, I still have not received word on my refinery proposal."

Lord de Rolo frowns at him, "Anders, we've been over this." he reminded the professor.

"Yes, but with enough funding, we could triple our Residuum production."

Lord de Rolo turns around, "Your ambitions cloud your duties!" he scolds but stops himself as his eyes glances over at his children who watches, he then sighs and looks back at the professor, "More is not always better. Perhaps focus on your pupils instead of matters beyond your purview."
