They appeared in the middle of the keep, hovering in the air for a second before they dropped to the floor. "Yes! I'm alive. Oh, Gilmore, I'd kiss you right now." Scanlan said making his way over to Gilmore taking his hand between both of his and then looking to the side dramatically as he continued, "but you'd inevitably fall in love with me, and that'd be messy so...eh." With that, he pats Gilmore's hand and walk away.

"Here we go." Grog said picking up his blade, as Vax and Lydie helped Gilmore take a seat against the wall.

"Grog, where did you get that curious blade?" Gilmore questioned the goliath.

"Off a vampire lord." Grog replied smugly like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Pretty cool right?"

"It radiates dark magic." Gilmore respond staring at the weapon drawing my attention fully to there conversation, "Are you sure you know what it does?"

"Sure do. Chops up dragons." Grog said with a chuckle as he walked away.

Lydie furrowed her brow, she'd sense something sinister with that blade, but chalked it up as bad mojo. Lydie wanted to urge Grog to give the sword to her, but knowing Grog, when there something he likes, he hold on to it. Lydie turned her attention to Phoebe running her hands through the walls of the keep.

"We're still to close to the city for my liking. I say we retreat to Whitestone." Percy spoke out loud as he turned around looking to all of them. "My sister will take us in. We can regroup and plan a counterattack."

"And meanwhile Emon falls." Vax said drawing out attention to him. "The capital of this f*cking continent. We can't just abandon it."

"Percy's right. I mean, come on, did you see them?" Scanlan said as he leaned back against the wall next to Pike, "Four dragons."

"But what more could be done?" Phoebe questioned, "We can only do but so much."

"Phoebe is right." Vex said, "Our weapons are useless. They're ancient and powerful. We don't stand a chance." As Vex finishes, Trinket growled drawing her attention.

"They called themselves the Chroma Conclave. I thought dragons didn't get along." Keyleth said hugging herself tighter.

"That's what worries me." Gilmore spoke up, "Their alliance could mean the destruction of Tal'Dorei. This could be the end of civilization as we know it."

"Yeah but, come on, civilization's overrated. I say f*ck it let's hit Marquet." Scanlan spoke up trying to make light of it, "I've always wanted to go on a world tour."

"Yeah, real heroic Scanlan." Pike said annoyed while glaring at the bard, "I thought we stopped running from our problems."

"And not to mention if they were to destroy Tal'Dorei, they would also plan to conquer other continents as well." Lydie spoke up.

"Um guys." Keyleth spoke up, "What if this is our fault? We killed that blue dragon, Brimscythe. Do you think this is revenge?"

"if it is, it's one hell of a payback." Vex said looking down at the ground.

"Look, if we want to kill those things, we'd need an army." Pike said.

"Emon had the biggest army in Tal'Dorei until Brimscythe dismantled it." Percy informs.

"Which means that their plan has been long in motion." Phoebe added.

A faint knocking drew their attention. Fenrir perks up, giving a low growl. "Someone's at the gates." Pike spoke up, while Lydie stood beside her while placing a hand on Fenrir calming him down.

They opened the door and was met by lines of people outstretched out as far as the eye can see. Their eyes pleading for help.

"So many." Pike mutter as they allowed people to enter into the courtyard.
