Today is the first day of seventh year at Hogwarts. I haven't seen My boyfriend Mattheo Riddle all summer and he's not at the feast in the great hall. No one seems to know where he is. I go looking after the feast but don't find him. I head to my dorm, unpack and get ready for bed. I stayed awake as long as I could hoping he would come but he never did. The next morning I was just finishing my breakfast when he walked in the great hall and sat next to Draco even though there was an empty seat next to me. Even Draco was confused. The whole rest of the day he kept avoiding me. The following few days were much the same, I kept trying to talk to him but he kept avoiding me and ignoring me. Its now been two weeks and I'm done. I love him with all my heart and this will hurt but I can't carry on like this.
I got draco to take Mattheo to an empty classroom pretending he needed his help. It's the only way I can get him to talk to me. When I walked in to the empty room Draco left and locked the door behind him.
"Seriously Sophia you couldn't have just asked to talk to me."
"In case you haven't noticed Mattheo I've been doing that for the last two weeks but you keep avoiding me and ignoring me. Now I want an explanation."
"I've just been busy"
"That's bullshit and you know it. Mattheo I love you more than I can put in to words but this isn't healthy. I'm not going to stay in a one way relationship. I'm not going to stay with someone who has clearly lost interest and lost feelings. I love you mattheo but I'm not staying where I'm not wanted. We're done." I didn't even let him respond, I quickly unlocked the door and left. I didn't want his excuses. He obviously doesn't want me anymore. I ran straight to Draco's room where he was waiting with hugs. We've been besties since we were little. As I sat on his lap Theo came in.
"Who made her cry"
"Mattheo did, she broke up with him. He's been ignoring her and avoiding her for the last two weeks and she had enough so she dumped him."
"I'm going to kill him."
I didn't even try stop him. He came back an hour later bruised and bloodied. Later that evening I saw Mattheo more bruised up than Theo was. Theo really did a number on him.
It's been three months since the break up and i can't stop loving him. I try but I just can't stop. Mattheo has become more violent and unpredictable. No one dares speak to him. Everyone is blaming me for his turn in mood. Theo and Draco are the only people in school who will talk to me.
"Look who it is, the cheater"
"What are you talking about Greengrass"
"Don't act like you don't know what you did"
"I really don't know what I'm supposed to have done"
"You cheated on Mattheo during summer break"
"Excuse me, who's spreading this rumour"
"It's not a rumour, Mattheo is telling everyone and showing pictures as well. He has proof."
"I'm going to kill him"
I left and told Theo and Draco everything and we made a plan. Truth or dare. Later that evening we all sat around a table and started playing. So far ive had to watch Mattheo make out with Greengrass and receive a lap dance from Parkinson. So far my dares have been boring until I got dared to make out with Blaise. While I was kissing him I could see the look of Jelalosy on Mattheo's face, he was fuming. He's going to be even more angry when he finds out the truth about the guy I was with over the summer. Time to put the plan in to action.
"Why don't we make this interesting and use truth serum?" Of course Mattheo took the bait.
"Only if you take it first" he said smirking
"I would be happy to" I said while smirking back at him. I drank the serum and waited for Mattheo to ask me the question.
"Did you have a good summer Sophia?"
"I had a brilliant summer thank you." I responded smiling which angered him.
"Who did you spend the summer with?"
"Draco, Theo and my friend Enzo."
"So his name is Enzo is it"
"Get to the point Riddle" he glared at me for calling him that. He was getting more and more angry by the minute.
"Did you cheat on me during the summer break?"
"No I did not." He looked at me shocked because he knows I'm telling the truth since I took serum.
"Let me explain Riddle, yes Enzo hugged me a lot and yes I sat on his lap and yes I'm close with him but trust me I'm not his type. He would rather date you than me. Enzo is gay. Yeah you really fucked up this time Riddle." I walked off not letting him respond. A few weeks later he came to my room and we talked it out. We spent the next few months working things out and ended up getting back together on the understanding that if he makes me cry again then Theo gets to kill him. Got to love having an over protective brother.
