The Riddles - Mattheo And Tom One shots

Pen pal

Hogwarts, what an awful school to attend. I'm just started seventh year. Thank merlin finally my last year at this horrid school. I'm known as the loner of the school. I have no friends, I've never had friends. I'm always alone. My Twin brother Theo goes to Durmstrang, I wish he was here then I wouldn't be alone.
I'm in Slytherin but all the other Slytherins pick on me especially Mattheo Riddle and his friends. His older brother Tom was to only Slytherin who was always nice to me. He always called me darling and always made sure I was eating enough and I wasn't struggling with anything. He took care of me. Now that he has left were going to write to each other all the time.
"Now boys and girls I have one more announcement your each going to be getting a pen pal, a student you will write to anonymously until such a point you wish to reveal your identity. Use this as an opertunity to make new friends." Oh joy a random weirdo is going to be a fake friend. Knowing my luck I'll end up with one of the school creeps. A week had passed and I got my first letter from my pen pal

Dear pen pal,
All I've been told is your in seventh year same as me. Any clues you can give me about who you are. Or if your a boy or a girl.

I have no intention of giving up information that quickly.

Dear pen pal,
What's makes you think I'm going to give you any clues this easily. You want the clues you have to earn them.

I sent the letter and carried on with my day which was going great until I bumped in to Matteo and his friends.
"If it isn't the disappointment of Slytherin, the lonely loser. Don't have anyone to protect you now Tom isn't here."
"What makes you think I need protecting Riddle"
"Don't call me that."
"I will call you whatever I damn well please... Riddle." I was not in the mood for this shit today. "Now kindly do the world a favour and fuck off" I left after that. I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of letting him reply. That's the first time I've ever stood up for myself like that. I'm never normally that confident.
It's been a few months and I know my pen pal is a guy and he knows I'm a girl. I asked him for a list of girls he hopes I'm not although I already know what it will say considering no one likes me.

Dear pen pal,
I hope your not  Herminie Granger, Ginny Weasley, Sophia Nott or Astoria Greengrass. I'm curious who you hope I'm not.

I knew my name would be on there.

Dear pen pal,
Lucky for you I'm not any of them. I hope your not Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Blaise Zabini, Lorenzo Berkshire, Mattheo Riddle or Neville Longbottom.

I sent the letter and awaited a reply. If he's one of them I'm going to stop responding. I decided to go for a walk and of course I bumped in to Riddle and his friends.
"Hey loser you figured out who your pen pal is yet, after all it will be the only friend you have apart from my brother that you poisoned against me."
"First of all Riddle I have no intention of finding out the identity of my pen pal and secondly its your own fault that Tom hardly talks to you. Maybe if you weren't such an arsehole all the time then he might like you. Oh wait I forgot you don't know how to be nice." He quickly proved my point by pushing me down the stairs and running off. I was able to hobble to hospital wing and collapsed in the doorway. I woke up a week later to be told that Mattheo had been given detention for a month. He should of been expelled. When I was discharged I went back to my dorm where I saw a pile of letters that had arrived while I was unconscious. A few were from a frantically worried Tom. The rest were from my pen pal. Most of them asking why I was ignoring him.

Dear pen pal,
Sorry for not replying I haven't been ignoring you I've just been busy. My school work got a bit piled up. How's life been for you.

I sent the letter and started on my pile of work I had to catch up on. I then got another letter from Tom asking me to meet him in Hogsmeade on Saturday. Finally something to look forward to. Just as I was finishing my work for the day. I got a reply from my pen pal

Dear pen pal,
I know who you are. You lied I know its you Sophia. You stop replying when I pushed her down the stairs and you suddenly start replying again when she gets discharged. Don't bullshit me anymore. I know it's you, you pathetic loser. Can't even get a pen pal that will like you.

Of course my pen pal had to be Mattheo fucking Riddle. I'm not going to respond to that. Skip ahead to Saturday and I just arrived in Hogsmeade. I only waited for about ten minutes when I felt a pair of familiar arms wrap around my waist from behind.
"If your not Tom Riddle then your about to loose your arms."
"Don't worry darling it's me. Can I have a proper hug now I missed you." I gave him a hug then we headed to the three broomsticks and ordered butterbeers.
"Sophia there is a reason why I asked you to meet me." We were sat closer than we normally do and I had insane butterflies right now. I may have forgotten to mention the fact that I have been in love with Tom for years. He took a hold of my hands which made the butterflies worse.
"Sophia darling we don't have a normal friendship you know that. Friends don't act the way we do with each other. It's time I was honest with you. Darling I've been in love with you for years and I can't keep it from you any longer. Its killing me not having you as mine."
"Tom I've always been yours. I have loved you for years as well but was always to scared to say anything."
"Sophia darling will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes yes yes I will." I said excitedly as I threw my arms around him our hug ended up turning in to a kiss. Neither of us could resist any longer so we gave in. I spent the rest of day with Tom before heading back to school just in time for dinner. After dinner I arrived in my dorm to find a letter from my pen pal or should I say Mattheo.

Sophia,
You can ignore me all you want buy its not going to stop me from writing to you mainly because its probably annoying you. I saw you making out with Tom in Hogsmeade today. So what are you two a thing now?
Mattheo

Again I have no plan to reply. I threw the letter in the bin and went to sleep. A few days later.

Sophia,
Stop ignoring me in letters and in person. I know your avoiding me and I have no idea why. You haven't written to me, spoken to me or even looked at me for weeks. I must of done something wrong.
Mattheo

I have no plan to reply to this one either. He can get lost. I'm done playing his bullshit games.

It's been three months and Mattheo continues to write to me and continues to try talk to me but I keep ignoring him. I was succeeding until he forced his way in to dorm room when I tried to shut the door in his face.
"You can't keep ignoring me Sophia. Clearly I've done something wrong but I have idea what it is."
"Are you seriously that brainless. You bully me constantly and have done for years. We were getting along fine in the letters until you figured out it was me and then it was like none of the friendly letters even happened. You constantly have shitty comments to make about my relationship with Tom. I don't get what I did to you to make you bully me"
"I... I em. Fuck it you might as well know the truth. I've been in love with you since first year and I was to scared to tell you so I pretend to hate you. Then you started to get close with Tom so I hated on both of you more. Then when I saw you and Tom kissing I lost it."
"I hope you know that doesn't excuse your behavior. Just because you tell the truth doesn't mean I'm going to fall in to your arms. I'm sorry Mattheo but I will never forgive you for what you've done to me. I love Tom. He's the one I want. Now you have to live with the consequences of your actions" I walked away and didn't look back. Mattheo disappeared after that. Me and Tom never heard from him again. We got married and two kids a boy and a girl.
Part of me had hoped that Mattheo might have redeemed himself and made amends for his actions but he never did. I just hope he found happiness.
