Obliviate

There was only two people alive on this planet that Mattheo Riddle despised more than anyone and that was his brother Tom and his girlfriend Sophia's brother Theo. Mattheo and Sophia attend Hogwarts and Tom and Theo attend Durmstrang which suited the four of them just fine.
Mattheo's life was finally falling in to place, his father and mother were dead, his abusive uncle was in Azkaban and he had the love of his life Sophia by his side.
The only problem Mattheo had was the girls who always flirted with him like Sophia wasn't even there. One example went as follows. Mattheo was sat in the common room with Sophia on his lap when a girl started flirting with him "can't you see I have a girlfriend who I'm currently trying to enjoy some time with please leave me alone." He did ask politely but the girl ignored him and carried on flirting with him. Sophia had enough and started making out with Mattheo but the girl acted like it wasn't even happening. Sophia now beyond boiling point got up and grabbed the girl by her hair and pinned her to the wall. "What part of he has a girlfriend did you not understand, now keep your hands off my boyfriend and remind all those skanky friends of yours that Mattheo Riddle is off limits!" She punched the girl then was quickly grabbed by Mattheo and thrown over his shoulder "you've created a very hard problem you need to fix princess." Lets just say the lovebirds were not seen for the rest of the evening.
For the five or so weeks that followed, most of the girls got the message so they assumed that was the end of it. Sophia was walking through the halls one night trying to find Mattheo when she heard familiar moaning, she looked in to the empty classroom and her heart shattered. Mattheo was fucking that girl she punched. His eyes met Sophia's and she broke down immediately. She ran out the room in floods of tears.
She went back to her dorm and threw up until she was gagging. She then sat on the bathroom floor and cried her eyes out. She couldn't face talking to him so she wrote him a letter and slid it under his door. She then went to the black lake and drank half a bottle of vodka before she pointed her wand at her head and said 'obliviate'. She saw all of her and Mattheo's memories fade away. She wouldn't have to deal with a painful heartbreak if she doesn't remember the heartbreak. She then passed out wearing nothing but a tshirt and thin trousers in the middle of British winter.
Mattheo was walking back to his dorm wracked with guilt at what happened. He doesn't even know how it happened. He knew he needed to talk to Sophia so he went to her room but didn't find her, he went to his room to grab some cigarettes before heading out to search the school for her. It's not like her to be out of her dorm at this time. When he opened the door he saw a letter on the floor.

Mattheo,
Why did you have to do it, why did you have to love me then break me when you promised you wouldn't. All I ever did was love you unconditionally. When the whole school was against you because of your father, I was there by your side. I sacrificed so much to stand by you and this is how you repay me by fucking the biggest slut in Slytherin. I love you with all my heart but I'm done with everything. I can't bare the thought of having to watch you move on with that bitch so I'm checking out of life and hopefully I won't see you in the next one. I hope your happy with her.

Mattheo's heart crumbled and so did his legs, he then realised what she meant at the end. He ran to the Astronomy Tower and was confused that she wasn't there, he looked over the railing and nothing. He ran to the headmasters office out of breathe and banged on the door until he finally opened it. "Mr Riddle what is the meaning of this it's passed curfew!" Mattheo with his chest on fire and still trying to control his breathing from all the running and crying he had done was only able to say "Sophia.. missing.. trying to.. kill herself." He then fainted at the headmasters feet. He woke up ten minutes later to Draco sat next to him "thank merlin your awake and no they haven't found her yet. Can you explain what happened, why is she trying to kill herself?" Mattheo showed him the letter, "you cheated on her!" Mattheo burst in to tears "I didn't cheat, I was tricked in to drinking a love potion and now she's -" he couldn't carry on and broke down completely in his cousins arms. The two boys sat there until the early hours of the morning while the teachers searched the school with no luck.
In the morning the two were found by Snape and sent to there dorms to rest, on there way they caught sight of Hagrid carrying a girl, they ran after him and saw him place Sophia on a hospital bed, her body was blue. Madame Pomfrey came running "merlins beard Hargid where did you find her she's frozen solid."
"Found her down by the Black lake with an empty vodka bottle" He pulled the bottle out his pocket and Mattheo recognised it as the one he kept hidden, she was the only person who knew where he hid it. "You had best tell Albus you found her." The two boys stood unmovable as Hagrid left.
After Madame Pomfrey had done what she could she told the boys it might be a few days or up to a week before she wakes up.
Mattheo spent every waking moment by her bedside, he refused to leave until she woke up. It had been a week and he was sat by her bed with Draco when she woke up. Both boys sat and stared in a trance until she spoke "um Draco who's that?" She said pointing at Mattheo. The boys looked to each other then back to her "Sophia what's the last thing you remember" asked Draco. "I'm not really sure it's all a bit fuzzy" Mattheo sat struggling to hold back tears so he left not wanting to risk upsetting her. "Who is he and why is he upset?" She questioned. "Well em he's my cousin his name is Mattheo Riddle and he's your boyfriend." Draco decided to leave out the breaking up part since she doesn't seem to remember it. "Don't be silly, I think I would know if I had a boyfriend" she laughed at the idea of him being her boyfriend. "Soph I'm being serious, you've been together for over three years, he calls you princess and enjoys making me want to vomit by making out with you right in front of me." She bagan to cry "if that's true then why don't I remember him?" Draco moved over on the bed and put his arm around her "you've lost some of your memory. Do you remember you have a brother?" She rolled her eyes "Ugh how can I forget that annoying idiot." Before Draco could respond they heard a voice from the door way "wow I love you to sis" it was Theo with Tom right behind him. Again she rolled her eyes "Ugh what are you two doing here." Theo sat on the bed and took one of her hands in his. "Soph were here because you decided to scare me half to death and almost die on me. I know we don't get along but please don't ever do that to me again." She looked down ashamed "I'm sorry Theo I didn't mean to scare you, I don't even remember why I did it or how I ended up there." Theo looked in her eyes and was about to talk but stopped himself. "Theo why are you staring me?" He shook his head "sorry sis I got lost in my thoughts. So how do you feel?" She decided to lie "I'm fine apart from the memory loss" Theo knew she was lying but didn't want to upset her by asking about it. "What have you forgot?" She chuckled "well apparently according to Draco I have a boyfriend but I don't remember him." Theo had figured it out. Sophia forgot one thing in her plan. Even though they fight a lot, no one can read Sophia better than Theo can. After discovering that Mattheo is the only thing she forgot, Theo and Tom who were now Hogwarts students went to look for him. They found him hugging a bottle of fire whisky at the Astronomy Tower. Tom swiftly grabbed the bottle before he could drink anymore. "That's enough of that, alcohol won't make anything better." He said. Mattheo sniffed and wiped away his tears "oh it won't well considering I was tricked in to drinking a love potion, my girlfriend caught me thinking I was cheating on her, she then broke up with me in a letter, went to go kill herself and now she doesn't even remember me. Tell me you wouldn't want to drink after all that."
Tom and Theo sat down with the broken boy. "Mattheo we won't lie to you, she doesn't have memory loss from almost dying. She obliviated herself. Your the only person she has forgotten and when she says she doesn't remember what happened or how she got to the lake she's lying. She obliviated you from her memories and I'm guessing she did it because she thinks you cheated and doesn't want to remember anything of you. I would also guess that she chickened out on killing herself and that's why she obliviated herself."  Mattheo broke down unable to hide his broken heart any longer. The mask finally fell off. Even though Tom and Mattheo don't get along it broke Tom's heart seeing his brother like this. He knew he would do anything to help Mattheo get Sophia back.
"Theo how do you know all this?" Mattheo asked through his sniffles. "She forgot how well I know her. I knew as soon as I looked in to her eyes that she obliviated herself and she's not very good at lying to me."
The boys spent the next few hours convincing Mattheo to get her memories back and get his girl back. He finally agreed and put a plan in action. For the first few weeks after she was discharged Mattheo didn't talk to her but he was always there, no matter where she went he was always there. She felt like he was following her. She was getting a sense of deja vu. After a few months of always being around and leaving bunches of her favourite flowers outside her room, the same as the first time he was trying to make her his, Mattheo finally plucked up the courage to talk to her.
"Mind if I sit with you?" Sophia was sat by the fire in the common room "Yeah sure" He took a seat next to her and as she got a whiff of his strong cologne and cigarettes she got a feeling of butterflies that she had felt before but she couldn't remember where. "You okay Mattheo you seem a bit down." He looked down at his hands playing with his rings "I had a girlfriend, the most stunning girl you can ever set your eyes on, she was kind, caring, loving and gentle but also knew how to be a bad bitch and wasn't afraid to kick my ass if I needed it. She was perfect inside and outside. I lost her when a girl she used to fight with a lot tricked me in to drinking a love potion. My girlfriend then caught me with the girl thinking I was cheating on her but I was under a love potion I couldn't stop or control what I was doing. I would never cheat on her, I love her more than life itself. She stood by me when no one else would, she was my soldier, she was my ride or die. Today hurts because today is or I should say would of been our four year year anniversary and all I can think about is how we would of spent our day together and what we would of done. I miss her and I still love her with every fibre of my being. I can't turn it off." He had tears in eyes, Sophia turned to look at him and his eyes met hers. She then started to see memories flashing before her eyes, all of her memories with Mattheo were coming back all because she got lost in his eyes like she always does. After several minutes she could feel someone shaking her and could hear Mattheo, Theo, Tom and Draco talking in concerned voices. She snapped back to reality and cut Mattheo off before he could speak, she jumped in to his lap and planted a deep kiss on his lips which he quickly returned. During there kiss they heard the other boys gag in disgust and leave back to there seats. They sat in front of the fireplace in a loving embrace making out until they were breathless. When they broke there kiss Mattheo wiped the tears out of her eyes "Princess please don't cry, you have nothing to be crying about." She sniffled and looked down at her hands "I'm sorry for overreacting, I should have just talked to you instead of being so stupid." He held her tightly to his chest "Princess don't apologise its that bitches fault not yours she was the one who caused it all. She was expelled by the way. Can we please just put the past behind us and move on." She placed a gentle kiss on his lips "I think that's a good idea. Mattheo can I be your girlfriend again." Taken aback by her words he took a few seconds to register what she said. "Yes you can princess. I would love nothing more than to have you as mine again." They went in to another loving make out session before they stood up and Mattheo picked Sophia up who wrapped her arms and legs around him, to disgust there brothers and cousin, Mattheo made sure he put his hands on her ass to hold her up. He decided to disgust them even more as he walked through the common room past the three boys and almost every boy in Slytherin who was in fifth, sixth or seventh year, out loud making sure they could all hear him Mattheo exclaimed "come princess we have a lot of lost time to make up for and as they say make up sex is the best way to start." She giggled as she placed kisses his neck while they walked up the stairs to the boys dorms. Behind them they could here the cheers and whistles of the Slytherin boys while the other three were to disgusted to react.
Mattheo and Sophia very quickly got back to there loving relationship the same as it was before. They were once again the hottest couple in school and this time nothing will break them apart.
During the whole ordeal Mattheo and Sophia discovered that even when your fighting with your siblings sometimes they are the only ones who can help and when it came down to it there brothers were there when they needed them most.
