First day of sixth year and this is definitely going to be a better year than last year. My boyfriend broke up with me at the beginning of fifth year and it took a long time to get over it. He doesn't go to this school but it didn't make it any easier to forget him but I'm finally ready to move on and find someone new. It wasn't a mutual breakup. He never gave me a reason for ending it. Told me he didn't love me anymore and that was it. I don't believe him but oh well best to just move on now.
The first years have just been sorted and headmaster said he has another announcement.
"We have two brand new students joining our Slytherin sixth years, please welcome Britney Carrington and Mattheo Riddle." Please tell me I heard that wrong. I just got over him and now he's back in my life and wait is he holding hands with that girl. Well shit this makes things harder. He's Draco's cousin so he is going to be around my group a lot which means I can't avoid him. Just when I thought this would be a good year. They took a seat with my group and Draco introduced them to everyone I made no eye contact with either of them and never said a word. I need time to process this. I ate faster than usual and left. Over the next few days I managed to avoid him and his new girlfriend and tonight I have a date with Enzo. The date went perfect and I said yes to another one.
Two months later me and Enzo are official. Mattheo and his girlfriend are still together. The weird thing is he said he didn't love me anymore but he gets angry and jealous when he see's me with Enzo. Why does he care so much if we broke up. Sadly I'm stuck with them all Christmas break. Narcissa invited us all for Christmas.
We were now at Malfoy Manor and so far everything is going really well except for the fact that Britney is driving everyone nuts. We were all sat in the kitchen waiting for Britney to finish making lunch. She offered so we all agreed because we figured it was about time she contributed something to the group. She had made a salad. I was starving so I was the first to take a bite and as soon as I did I spit it straight back out.
"MATTHEO DON'T EAT THAT!!" I screamed. Everyone looked at me confused as I started coughing. "It's got prawns in it. Me and Mattheo are both allergic." I said between coughing. I managed to get myself sorted out while Theo looked on with fear. He's a little over protective.
"Sophia are you sure your okay?"
"I'm fine Theo don't worry."
"Britney you could of killed her!"
"Theo calm down she wasn't to know I was allergic but considering Mattheo is her boyfriend she should of known he was allergic. Bit weird how you didn't know that."
"How exactly do you that about my boyfriend."
"Clearly I pay more attention to your boyfriend than you do or did you not notice when he said to Enzo last month that he couldn't have the prawn dip because he's allergic. You were sat right next to him at the time."
"I must not of heard."
"In any case Britney you should of known that from the beginning of the relationship."
I left after that taking Enzo with me. We went up to my room and snuggled up until I fell asleep.
The rest of the Christmas break was dull and boring as Britney continued to get on my nerves. She's been off with me since the prawn incident. Maybe she thinks I'm going to steal Mattheo from her, I mean I easily could if I wanted to.
It was now valentines day and I had spent the entire day looking for Enzo but with not luck. I gave up and spent the day with Theo who was fuming that Enzo had abandoned me on Valentines day. That night I went to Enzo's dorm to see if he was there and when I knocked and got no answer I went in and found Enzo in bed with Britney. I left without him noticing me. The next morning I overheard Britney complaining to some girls that Mattheo won't sleep with her anymore. I planned to use that to my advantage later.
That evening we were all sat around together when I decided to wind Britney up before I expose her and Enzo for cheating.
"Hey Britney I have a question. Do you always degrade your boyfriend by complaing about your sex life to your friends."
"Excuse me, what on earth are you talking about"
"I overheard your conversation with your friends this morning about Mattheo refusing to have sex with you and I can tell you why he won't have sex with you."
"I'm intrigued to hear what you think" I have to admit I was not expecting that. Poor Mattheo is sat with a red face.
"The reason he won't have sex with you is because a guy like Mattheo is hard to handle and requires a certain... touch shall we say."
"How do you know so much about him?"
"Let's play a game shall we. I ask a question about Mattheo and you give me the answer. Let's see how much you know about him. Question one what's his favourite colour?"
"That's easy it's green"
"Wrong it's red because it's the same colour as blood.
"What's his favourite spell."
"Alohamora"
"Wrong it's the silencing charm. He likes that one most because when he uses it no one can hear how loud your screaming. What's his favourite snack?"
"Every flavour beans"
"Wrong it's chocolate frogs because everytime he opens a chocolate frog when Draco is around the frog jumps on Draco's head. What's his favourite class?"
"Transfigurations"
"Wrong it's potions. He hates transfigurations. Who's his best friend?"
"Theo"
"Wrong it's Draco even though he will never admit it out loud. Lastly what's Mattheo's favourite way to relax when he's stressed?"
"Reading a book"
"Wrong, he likes laying on the ground outside at night watching the stars while smoking a cigarette. Funny how you got every single question wrong and I got them all correct. Now I do have one bonus question for you. What is the one thing on this earth that Mattheo hates more than anything?"
"I have no idea"
"Well let me tell you. The one thing he hates more than anything is cheaters."
"Okay and your telling me this why?"
"Britney, Enzo I'm assuming you both know what cheating is correct?" The both said yes. "Well Mattheo let me ask you a question. Do you know where Britney was last night?"
"No idea although im guessing your about to tell me."
"She was in Enzo's room in Enzo's bed completely naked."
The following half an hour was a lot of shouting and yelling. I ended up leaving because I got fed up of it. I went to the Astronomy Tower and after ten minutes I heard some familiar footsteps coming up behind me.
"I'm surprised it took you this long Mattheo"
"I was helping Theo beat Enzo up. I'm sorry Sophia for everything over the last few years."
We ended up talking the entire night. He explained that he broke up with me because he was struggling to control his temper and he was scared he wouldn't be able to control it around me so he broke up with me to protect me from him. He got help and then got with Britney to try and get over me. He said it wasn't working and that's why they came to Hogwarts because he wanted me back. Ironically I only got with Enzo to stop myself trying to get back with Mattheo but the more I was with Enzo the more I wanted Mattheo. We ended up agreeing to see how things go and not force anything. After six months we got back together. We ended up married with three kids. I guess we were meant to be.
