Mattheo Riddle was seen as the Hogwarts bad boy, as the son of Voldemort he was feared by all, he was a cold evil boy. The exception was his girlfriend Sophia Nott, the two had been madly in love since they were thirteen. She is the only person he smiles for, he would do anything to make her happy, no matter the cost.
The two had a small group of friends who Sophia adored, her best friend in the whole world Enzo was her partner in crime and Mattheo spent most of his time trying and failing to keep them out of detention. Sophia had just arrived back to her dorm to find an envelope had been slid under her door, she opened it to find a letter and a handful of pictures. Each picture was her having sex with a different boy, the weird thing is she had never hooked up with any of them, Mattheo is the only person she has ever had sex with. She opened the letter and her heart shattered. It simply said 'dump mattheo or these get shared to the whole school.' She stared at the letter in shock and kept reading it over and over again. Mattheo is the love of her life, she can't bare the thought of living without him she had no idea what to do. She tells Mattheo about it, he will jump to the wrong conclusion and dump her and the pictures will be leaked to the whole school or she dumps him and hopes the pictures don't get leaked. Either way both of them will end up heart broken.
She decides to stay in her room that night, ignoring the repeated knocks from Mattheo while she cried her eyes out. The next day she stayed in her dorm all day again ignoring the repeated knocks from Mattheo until she had no choice but to open the door after he threatened to brake it down.
"Princess what's wrong, you've been locked in here since yesterday afternoon. Did someone hurt you?" She had her back turned to him took a deep breathe and as he tried to put his hand on her shoulder she moved away "I'm not your princess anymore." She was struggling to hold it together but knew she had to. "What are you talking about you'll always be my princess. What's all this about" He had an unmovable lump in his throat and a tear in his eye, fearing what she might say next. "I used to be your princess but I won't be anymore. Were done. I don't love you anymore, go find some other poor girl who might actually care about you." She was struggling to hold back tears but he didn't bother struggling, he let them fall as he ran out the room back to his own room where he collapsed and cried uncontrollably, the love of his life had broken him.
Sophia couldn't move, she couldn't cry she couldn't do anything. When it hit her that she just broken the heart of the love of her life she collapsed on the floor and sobbed until she was struggling to breathe and eventually through gasping breaths ended up passing out.
Mattheo trashed his room and screamed and cried unable to control himself. His cousin Draco and friends Blaise and Enzo came running when they heard the racket.
"Mattheo calm down what happened?" Through his sobs he told them what Sophia said."She can't have, she's head over heels for you, this doesn't sound like her at all. Something feels off about this." Enzo said concerned while the others were still trying to process what Mattheo had told them. "Well it was her, I know Sophia and it was her. She fucking dumped me, she stomped on my heart and-" once again Mattheo broke down unable to finish his sentence. "With all due respect Mattheo she is my best friend and no-one knows Sophia Nott better than I do. I know something is wrong and I will get to the bottom of it with or without your help." Enzo stormed off to go find Sophia. For some reason he didn't think to check her dorm first, instead he searched the entire school before heading to her room where he found her unconscious with a weak pulse on the floor. Mattheo and his friends were on there way to dinner when Enzo ran past them with Sophia in his arms, as he ran past them he shouted "I FUCKING TOLD YOU SOMETHING WAS WRONG!" Mattheo was now wracked with guilt wondering if Enzo really was right, could it have been someone in a polyjuice potion he thought. It can't have been, there's no way. He made the biggest mistake to date and decided to ignore Enzo. He now truly believed he was right and not Enzo. He was listening to his head over his heart. He went to the great hall where he decided to try forget about Sophia by flirting with other girls and making out with them. Meanwhile in the hospital wing, Enzo had just been informed that due to her not being able to breath properly when she passed out and it not being known how bad her breathing was and her brain being starved of oxygen, it's unknown what affect it will have on her brain if she even wakes up. Sophia was to be transferred to Saint Mungos for treatment, Enzo told the headmaster to send for her brother, he then headed back to the Slytherin common room "Hey how's Sophia doing, heard she collapsed" asked a boy named Adrian. Enzo stood frozen in place staring blankly ahead, he felt hands on his shoulders "Enzo what's wrong?" Asked Adrian now concerned. Enzo had held it in to long and completely broke down as the realisation hit him that his best friend might die. He collapsed in to Adrian's arms as he cried and screamed uncontrollably once he was able to calm down he heard a voice "just tell us how she is for merlins sake!" Enzo saw red and for the first time in is life he punched someone. Over and over his fists collided with the boy until Adrian pulled him off "it's your fucking fault Mattheo! I fucking told you there was something wrong, she loves you there is no way on this earth she would dump you and if she truly did I can guarantee you she was forced or blackmailed in to doing it. You know she has spent to last two weeks planning a weekend away for you two, she knows how stressed you've been and wanted to surprise you. Now tell me why would she spend all that time planning that just to dump you. Doesn't make sense does it. Don't go around pretending like you care about her, it's obvious you don't considering from the whispers I heard you went and made out with random girls right after you saw me carrying her to the hospital wing. Since your curious, her brain was starved of oxygen for an unknown period of time, she's in a coma and has been transferred to Saint Mungos where she might die. My best friend might die because of you. I don't care how long it takes or what lengths I have to go to but I will prove that she didn't willingly dump you and if she dies I promise I will happily tell her over protective brother where you live and happily watch you die a slow and very painful death!" Enzo broke out of Adrian's grip and went straight to Sophia's room, he collapsed on the bed and cried himself to sleep. After Enzo left, every student in the common room was frozen in shock, Mattheo ran out in to the halls where he pulled a random girl in to a classroom and had sex with her. He was shutting down and had no idea how to stop it. He had made his choice that he believed Enzo was wrong and he was sticking to it. That night when he went to sleep he was plagued with nightmares of Sophia dying, it being replayed over and over and over again. His decision was beginning to haunt him as his heart was trying to convince him that Enzo was telling the truth and the longer he stays in denial the worse the nightmares will get.
Enzo spent the following two weeks searching Sophia's room for any clue that might explain why she dumped him. He found her diary his heart broke when he read the last entry. In the entry she wrote that she hid the photos under the dresser drawers. He moved the unit and found the pictures of someone pretending to be Sophia having sex with other boys along with the blackmail note. He took the diary, the picture and the note and stormed in to Mattheo's room where he was in bed with another girl. "Get out!" He screamed as the girl quickly got dressed as left. After she left Enzo threw the items at Mattheo and said "believe me now" then left the room slamming the door behind him. Mattheo looked at the photos and read the note instantly believing she had cheated on him. He threw the diary across the diary across room, got dressed and went to find Enzo. He found him in the common room.
"Believe me now do you?" Enzo asked. "Believe what, believe that she was cheating on me with six different guys!" Enzo looked at him confused "you didn't read the diary did you?" Mattheo was now confused "why would I need to, the pictures said enough." Enzo let out a frustrated sigh "just read the damn diary Mattheo, then you will see that she did not willingly dump you nor did she cheat on you!" Mattheo went back to his room and for once decided to listen to Enzo. He picked up the diary and sat on his bed smiling as he read the entries about there happy times or the shenanigans that her and Enzo would get up. The last entry was written the day before she dumped him

Dear diary,
I found an envelope under my door with some false pictures and a blackmail note in it, I don't know who's in those pictures but it's not me. The only person I have ever had sex with is Mattheo, he is the only person I ever want to have sex with. I'm addicted to him, I love everything about him even his bad annoying habits. None of that matters though because now I have to break his heart and mine. I don't even know if he would believe me if I told him it wasn't me in the pictures but I would swear under truth serum that I have never cheated on him. I intend on talking to the boys in the photos and finding out when this was supposed to have happened so I can prove im innocent. I love Mattheo for all eternity. Even though he will hate me after I have to break up with him I will always love him until my dying day. Even when he forgets me and moves on, my heart will always belong to him. He will be first and only love. My handsome devil, my Mattheo.

Mattheo ran out his room and ran straight to Sophia's room where Enzo was sat on the floor looking through her photo albums. When he saw Mattheo come in he stood up and saw the look on his face, he knew what was coming. He walked over to Mattheo who immediately fell in to Enzo's arms and broke down completely. It all hit him at once, he truly screwed up and now the love of his life might die.
Enzo and Mattheo sat in Sophia's room crying and talking the whole night. They formulated a plan to find out when these pictures were taken to discover who was behind all this. Mattheo also wrote to Sophia's brother requesting to visit her and talk to him.
Over the following month the boys had discovered that every picture was taken while Sophia was either in her dorm with Mattheo or in detention with Enzo. Thankfully the last boy was able to confirm the identity of the two responsible for all this. They headed to the great hall to confront them. When they arrived and spotted there targets both boys were enraged "you two are fucking monsters you that!" Mattheo screamed "you know Sophia might die because of you two. We know what you did" the two girls looked at them confused "what are we supposed to have done?" An angered Mattheo blew up "you took polyjuice potion and pretended to be Sophia, you then had sex with six different boys, took pictures and then sent them to Sophia telling her if she didn't dump me then you would leak them around the school. She's in a coma and might die because of you two!" The two girls had a worried look on there faces. "We didn't do anything to that bitch!" The boys struggled to contain there anger "would you drink truth serum to prove that your as innocent as you claim you are." The girls hesitated, as Enzo was about to speak he was interrupted by the head master "Pansy Parkinson and Astoria Greengrass come with me. Mattheo Riddle and Lorenzo Berkshire you are to go with with Professor Snape." Mattheo looked at him confused thinking they were in trouble "Why headmaster? Where are we going?" The headmaster smiled at the boys "you have both been requested at Saint Mungos. Sophia woke up this morning and her brother has requested both of you." The great hall erupted in cheers as Mattheo and Enzo ran out the door with Snape as he escorted them to the hospital. When they arrived Sophia was sat up in bed playing chess with Theo. As soon as her eyes locked on to Mattheo she burst in to tears and held her arms out to him. He didn't hesitate, he ran to her and lifted her in to his arms and held her like there was no tomorrow. While they were hugging she looked behind him pointed at Enzo and said "Theo who's that?" All three boys looked at her with lumps in there throats as they realised she had memory loss. She had forgotten her best friend in the whole world. "Princess what's the last thing you remember before you collapsed?" She thought for a second "sitting in potions with you and since Theo's here I won't say what you were doing. Theo explained about the break up and the pictures and all that stuff but I don't remember it." Mattheo knew he had to tell her the truth. He sent Enzo and Theo away and he told what he did after the break up. He confessed to everything he had done and every girl he kissed or had sex with. "I'm sorry princess, I don't know what I was thinking, I was in denial, I listened to my head instead of my heart and I did really stupid stuff. I don't deserve your forgiveness or your love anymore but I do love you. I always have and always will. I will always be your Mattheo." She climbed on his lap and kissed him with as much passion and love as she could. He happily returned the kiss. "Mattheo even though I don't remember the break up we were technically broken up when you did all that. Yeah it hurts knowing you've been with other girls but I can't be mad at it. You do deserve my love and you always will. My handsome devil." They cuddled up and ended up falling asleep both with smiles on there faces.
Over the following months, it was discovered that the only two people Sophia hadn't forgotten was Theo and Mattheo. She forgot everyone else at hogwarts and found it to overwhelming trying to remember everyone. She had many breakdowns and sleepless nights because of the stress but six months after she woke up she had remembered all her friends and that's all she cared about.

Sophia never did regain her memories of the break up but did eventually remember all the people she forgot. Sophia and Mattheo had an unbreakable kind of love that no one understands. There love weathered even the worst of storms and stood strong for all eternity.
