Tom Riddle Jr was the definition of the word grumpy. He was never happy, never smiled and never saw joy in anything. He was academically advanced and he struggled to make friends. His brother Mattheo on the other hand loved to party and have fun and made friends easily. The two boys very rarely spent time alone together as they are complete opposites.
Sophia Nott was a bubbly, happy girl who loved to make people smile. Same as Tom she was academically advanced but made friends easily. Her brother Theo loved to party and have fun but struggled to make friends. The four teens had one thing in common though, there fathers affected how people saw them.
The Riddles attend Hogwarts and the Notts are going to be joining after the summer break. The Notts parents and the Riddles aunt and uncle are long time friends so the Notts parents have arranged for them to spend the summer at Malfoy Manor so they can get to know the Riddles and hopefully make the transition in to Hogwarts easier. All four teens were nervous though and it was showing, Narcissa waited with the boys while Lucious went to collect the Nott twins. A little while later they arrived, "merlin how you two have grown, Sophia dear you look more like your mother everytime I see you and Theodore please don't get any taller or else I might need a stool just to give you hug." She hugged both of them before introducing them to the Riddles. As soon as they met any nerves quickly left, they felt at ease and comfortable with each other. "Boys why don't you show them where there sleeping. Enjoy the peace before Draco and his friends get here."
The four teens headed upstairs, walking through the halls of the Manor until they reached the Riddles wing of the house. "Our aunt and uncle gave us this end of the house so we can get some peace when we need it. Our cousins friends are a bit much sometimes. I mean I love to have fun and have a laugh with them but there a bit over the top sometimes." Said Mattheo. "We have our own wing at home as well, it has a games room and a library in it." Sophia responded. "What a coincidence so does ours, now which one of you wanted the library?" Tom asked. Sophia smiled at him "that would be me." He gave her a small smile back "you can come with me then." The two walked off leaving Mattheo and Theo behind, Mattheo was in absolute shock "I swear he just smiled at her. I didnt imagine that did I?" Theo chuckled at him "no you didn't imagine that." Mattheo turned to face Theo "I don't know how that happened but that is the first time he has ever smiled in his entire life." Theo smirked "that's just the affect that Sophia has on people." The two boys headed for the bedrooms to get Theo unpacked and settled in.
An hour in and they were getting along like they had known each other forever. Mattheo and Theo were in the games room playing snooker while Tom and Sophia were in the library looking through some advanced potions books while they chatted about there findings. They did end up joining the other two in the games room and for the first time ever Tom was actually enjoying something that had nothing to do with academics.
That night at dinner the Notts met Draco and his friends. Theo took an instant disliking to Blaise who Mattheo also disliked. Sophia took an instant disliking to Pansy and Astoria who Tom also despises. They got along well with everyone else though. After dinner all the teens went out on to a balcony for a little while. "So where are you guys transferring from?" Asked Enzo. "Durmstrang" responsed Theo. They all looked at him confused "Didn't realise they let girls in Durmstrang."
"Yeah they do." Replied Sophia. "So you must be pure bloods then since you went to Durmstrang." Said Pansy, even her voice iritated Sophia. "Nope were half bloods." More confused stares. "You have to be a pure blood to attend Durmstrang." The Notts knew that they had to be careful how they answered. "Well we got accepted and attended from first year." Thankfully Mattheo quickly changed the subject sensing that the Notts were getting frustrated with all the questions. For the entire summer the Notts and Riddles spent most of there time with each other and didn't socialise with the others much.
It was now the first day of the new school year and the Notts are stood outside the great hall waiting. "Now boys and girls we have two new students joining our seventh years. Please welcome Theodore and Sophia Nott." When they arrived at the front they were both sorted in to Slytherin.
"Before we feast I have two more announcements. Firstly we have a new healer, Isabella Nott. Madame Nott will be taking over from Madame Pomfrey. Lastly we have a new defence against the dark arts teacher Delores Umbridge." No one liked the look of her. She seemed very peculiar. "Is the new healer your mother?" Asked Draco "Yeah she is." Both Notts gave there mother a loving smile before tucking in to the feast.
After arriving at her dorm she opened her trunk and found a small package with a note attached to it.

My little princess, wear this at all times and if you ever feel scared, unsafe or if someone is hurting you all you have to do is think of me and I'll know somethings wrong, love father.

She opened the package and inside was a snake bracelet. It had four snakes on it, one for her, Theo and both there parents. She put it on and then got unpcked and went to bed. The next day she discovered that Theo and her mother had them as well.
Over the first few weeks the Riddles and Notts continued to get closer. Tom now smiled anytime Sophia was around, he had learned to put down the books and have fun sometimes, him and Sophia were inseparable. Thanks to Mattheo it was now easier for Theo to socialise but he still preferred having Mattheo around rather than socialising alone.
The four were sat in defence against the dark arts. Tom and Sophia sat together at the back and Mattheo and Theo sat together in front of them. Umbridge was a horrible teacher, she used blood quills as punishment. "Today class you will be working from chapter six of your books, your wands will not be required." Sophia had enough of her awful teaching "Professor how are we supposed to learn anything without our wands. In the time you've been here you've taught us nothing and we're all going to start failing soon." Umbridge marched up to Sophia "Miss Nott you shall not disrespect my authority and my teaching abilities. I am the teacher and you are the student." She scoffed at the professor "teachers teach things and you haven't taught us anything so your not a teacher." Tom knowing Sophia was risking detention stepped in "professor she is correct. We haven't learned anything while you've been here." Mattheo and Theo chorused there agreements. The four teens ended up in an argument with Umbridge and now Theo and Mattheo were bring punished with a blood quill. The words 'I won't talk back' started to appear on there hands. After there punishment was over she had Tom do the same thing. After he was done she turned her attention to Sophia. "Miss Nott your blatant disregard for authority has landed you in serious trouble." Sophia had no time to respond, Umbridge pointed her wand at Sophia and said "Crucio!" She collapsed to the floor in agony as her body felt like it was on fire and bring stabbed repeatedly at the same time. Around her she could here the screams of other students and her brother and the Riddles pleading with Umbridge to stop. Sophia then remembered about the bracelet so she started to think about her father, hoping and praying that it would somehow help.
After Umbridge stopped the spell Theo picked his sister up and sat her on his knee trying to comfort her as she cried in to his chest.
"Now boys and girls let this be a lesson to you. This is what happens when you question my authority and my teaching abilities-" She ws cut off when the door flung open, the man locked eyes with Sophia and upon seeing her tear filled eyes and the blood dripping from Theo hands he was enraged. He ran straight to the Nott twins and threw his arms around both of them "are you two okay what happened?" Sophia now had her arms around the mans neck as he held her tightly she cried on to his shoulder. "Umbridge used the Cruciatus Curse on Sophia." The man handed Sophia back to Theo then stood up and locked eyes with Umbridge. "YOU CRUCIO'D MY DAUGHTER!" Professor Snape screamed. "That wasn't all she did sir, before she did that she used a blood quill on Theo and the Riddles." Potter said. Snape took a moment to try compose himself. He looked to his children and saw his daughter still crying so he motioned for his children and the Riddles to join him, he took Sophia in his arms, holding her close to him. "Let me get this straight, first you use a blood quill on my son and the Riddles and then you use an unforgivable curse on my daughter! In what world do you think its okay to treat a student in that manner. I am going to do everything in power to make sure you are sent to Azkaban for this. I don't care if it takes until my dying breath, I will not rest until I get justice for my children and all the other students you've hurt while you've even here." Umbridge was to shocked to respond, the door swung open once again and in walked Dumbledore, Magonigal and Madame Nott. The first thing she saw was the blood dripping down her sons hand. "My baby why are you bleeding. Wait your both bleeding as well. Severus what happened to these boys and why is Sophia so upset." Snape then explained to his wife, Dumbledore and Magonigal the events that occurred. "Severus, you and Isabella can take Sophia and the boys to the hospital wing. Manirva and I will deal with Delores and don't worry Severus I will ensure she never sees the light of day again."

Following the events that occurred Snape returned to Hogwarts as the defence against the dark arts teacher much to the delight of his wife and children. The Notts and Riddles were brought closer after what happened and once everyone found out that Snape was the Notts father people started treating them differently and not wanting to associate with them but the Riddles were always there for them and they were always there for the Riddles.

The four of them stuck together in there unbreakable bond until death parted them. They weren't apart for long though as all four of them died only minutes apart, bonded for eternity.
