As Jim arrives at the room with Sean to see Christie while Nancy is doing her physiotherapy. As Jim walks in crying while holding onto his leaflets about his diagnosis. "Jim you're crying"Christie says. "Why don't you take a seat"Sean says. "Sorry Christie I've just been given some terrible news and I need to tell Violet"Jim says. "If you tell us we can be the judge of that"Christie says. "Okay Christie"Jim said. As Jim is now sitting down on the chair next to Christie's bed as he's crying is eyes out while looking at the leaflet with the big letters that says Kidney Cancer on them. "Jim why have you got leaflets on Cancer"Christie asks.
"Well it all started roughly round about when I heard that there was an accident"Jim says. "What are you on about Jim what started"Christie asks. "I've been feeling really tired high temperature most days not feeling hungry and recently found blood in my urine"Jim says. "That sounds bad Jim"Sean says. "Yes it is very bad"Jim says. "Have you seen a doctor Christie says. "Yes I've just come from the doctors"Jim says. "What did the doctor tell you"Christie said. "I've got Stage 3 Kidney Cancer"Jim says as he hands over the leaflets thats in his hands. As Christie and Sean take in the news about Jim's diagnosis and all they can think about is how their daughter Violet will take the news. "Sean I've got something to ask you"Jim says. "Go ahead Jim"Sean says.
"If for some reason that my treatment doesn't work and I die I want you to be there for Violet as she grows up"Jim asks. "Jim you can't think like that"Christie said. "I know but I need to know that my daughter will be looked after when I can no longer do it"Jim says. "Jim you don't have to ask"Sean said. "After whats gone on between us is in the past"Christie said. "What are you saying Christie"Jim asks. "Violet needs her dad and you need your daughter"Christie says. "What times your appointment and is your girlfriend meeting you upstairs"Christie asks. "I'm doing this alone as Keri is looking after the business"Jim says. "This is pretty huge to go through alone let alone keep it away from your other half"Christie says. "I understand but once I've had my appointment at 2:30pm"Jim says.
As the Cancer Doctor comes in the room not to talk to Christie and Sean. "Hello my name is Doctor Callahan and I've come to get you prepped for your biopsy"Callahan said. "Will I be able to come back once it's done"Jim asks. "I'm sorry Jim you won't be able to come back here today"Callahan says. "Christie please don't tell Keri"Jim says. "We won't say a word Jim"Christie and Sean both say. "We better go"Callahan says. "Yes Doctor"Jim says. "Jim can you please keep us updated on everything"Christie asks. "Of course I will for our daughter Violet's sake"Jim says. "Thanks Jim"Christie said. "I'm ready Doctor"Jim says. As Doctor Callahan takes Jim Jordan upstairs to book him in and get ready for his biopsy.
"Good luck Jim"Sean and Christie both say. "Thanks"Jim says. Now that Sean and Christie are alone they can't stop thinking about what Jim's just told them. "When Violet and I bumped into him yesterday he looked okay"Sean said. "I don't know how to tell Violet she's already been through a lot"Christie said. "You won't be going through this alone"Sean says. "Love Violet nearly lost me her grandma and she's really worried about her cousin Louie"Christie said. "Violet's a tough kid and I'm going to keep that promise of what I said to Jim"Sean says. "I can't let Jim go through this on his own"Christie said. "We have to respect his wishes he wants to do this alone"Sean says.
"I feel sorry for him Sean"Christie said. "After what he done to you"Sean said. "Love what he's done is in the past"Christie said. "Okay Christie"Sean said. "What Jim is going through I wouldn't wish this on anyone"Christie says. "I agree with you there"Sean says. "I'm just going to text Matt to tell him that Jim has been here and gone"Christie said. "Don't tell them about the Cancer yet"Sean said. "Okay"Christie said as she grabbed her cell phone and she finds her brother's number and she writes. "Hi brother hope Louie's okay just to let you know that Jim has been and gone"Christie writes then she presses the send button. "We can't talk about this when my mom comes back"Christie said then Doctor Rhodes arrives back with Nancy.
As Doctor Rhodes has brought Nancy back from her physiotherapy session as Christie and Sean talk about this by using their cell phones while upstairs Doctor Callahan as almost finished registering Jim in. "We're almost done just a few more details that we need"Callahan says. "What else do need from me doctor"Jim says. "Your next of kin we need that if anything happens to you"Callahan asks. "You can put down Christie Casey please"Jim asks. "Are you sure Jim ain't Christie your ex-wife"doctor says. "Yes thats correct but she's the mother of my daughter"Jim says. "Ok we understand and"Callahan says. "Do you need her cell number doctor"Jim asks. "Yes I do"Doctor Callahan says. "Well here's the number on my cell phone"Jim says. "
"Now you're registered I need you to change into these clothes please and we'll be back shortly to get you"Callahan says. "Okay"Jim says. As Doctor Callahan leaves Jim Jordan to get ready as Christie can't help herself and she cries and is comforted by her fiance Sean who's put his arm around her and he tells her something. "Babe don't worry Jim's going to get through this"Sean said. As the clock now reads 2pm Doctor Callahan has come back to the room to collect Jim. "It's time Jim for your biopsy"Callahan said. "Yes better now before I get really bad"Jim says. "Let's go then Jim"Doctor Callahan says...
