As everyone is sitting down apart from Brent Trent and Neil the judge can start the proceedings. "I'm going to start with a statement thats for you all to listen to then I'll go on to your punishment separate starting with you Trent"the judge says. As they all agree and shake their heads and all say yes. "What you three have done and with all of your victims injuries medical records and the family and friends statements I've come to my decision on the right punishment for you all and with you already done a short bit in prison already I've considered that in my decision of your punishment"the judge says. "I'm nervous babe"Matt said. "I know you're nervous babe we all are"Gabby said.
"Trent you are being done for Dangerous Driving, Drink Driving, Life Threatening Injuries for two victims, Manslaughter Charges and Arson Charges, taking all of that into consideration you'll be serving 72 years with a minimum of 70 years for parole"the judge says. Trent only nods and doesn't even cry. Now that the judge has read out Trents punishment now he can read out Brent and Neil's punishment. "Brent and Neil you are being charged with Killing a Mother, Attempt to kill 4 others, Kidnapping and Stealing and as I'm taking that all into consideration you'll be serving 70 years with a minimum of 68 years for parole and thats each"the judge says.
"Take them all back down stairs and back to there prison cells"the judge says. "Will do judge"1 guard says. As the three guards takes Neil Brent and Trent back down stairs and got them in the police van and they was all driven back to the prison and locked up for the rest of there lives while back upstairs in Room 3 everyone is relieved and happy of the outcome. "That judge gave them the best outcome that we needed"Voight said. "Yes boss"they all said. "Don't forget to pass on the message to Sergeant Platt about the colour code for the funeral"Gabby says. "We wont forget to tell our colleague"Halstead says. "When are you leaving guys"Gabby asks. "We're leaving tomorrow lunch thing hopefully"Voight says.
"Were better be going and filling everyone on the verdict"Lindsay said. "Yes guys"Voight said. "We'll see you tomorrow afternoon"Matt said. "See you then"Olinsky said. As the Intelligence Team leave the court room and headed back to District 21 while Matt and Gabby are walking out of the room holding hands. "Baby the time is only 11:58am why don't we go and get a bite to eat before we head back home and leave Chicago for a few days"Matt says. "Yes please baby why don't we go and have a mini celebration"Gabby said. "Let's go then sweetie"Matt said. As Matt and Gabby walk out of the court room holding hands as they walk to the car.
"I don't mind where we go for lunch babe"Gabby said. "I've got an idea why don't we go to our local cafe for lunch"Matt said. "I know I need to keep producing milk so I'll order something that contains nuts and something tasty and a soft drink"Gabby said. "I'll be having a soft drink and something tasty to eat as I've got to drive us all up to Wisconsin"Matt said. "And I'm still breastfeeding and will be for a while"Gabby said. 10 minutes later Matt pulls up outside the cafe and as Matt turns off the engine and he takes his wife's hand they both walk through the door when the bell goes off.
As Gabby and Matt walk over to a table and as they sit down the waitress walks over. "Hello there can I get you some drinks"the waitress says. "Can we have two glasses of Apple Juice please"Matt says. "Coming right up"the waitress says.
