While Jim is on oxygen while he has sips of water in intervals over at the hospital in Wisconsin as Laura is in a medical induced coma after being in a serious car accident. "I'm terribly sorry to tell you this but it's spread to your liver and lungs"Doctor Callahan said. "We'll give you some time to yourselves to process the news then we'll get someone to move you to the Cancer Ward where you'lll undergo more tests"Bickman says. "Jim I'm very sorry for you Jim"Christie said. "This is not how I wanted to die"Jim says. "We'll keep our promise not to tell Violet"Christie and Sean both say. "Can you get me some paper and a pen and I'll get on with this letter for Violet"Jim says.
As Jim contemplates of what to put in the letter for his daughter to rad as Christie and Sean head back upstairs for a little rest and to acknowledge the news that Violet's dad will die. "Are you okay babe"Sean asks. "I don't know how I feel right now"Christie says.
