As Matt and Gabby walk down to the main entrance at the hospital where Stella and Kelly are sitting down waiting as Brett and Antonio are on there way down to District 21 to talk to Hank Voight, Jay Halstead and Alvin Olinsky about Laura's wishes. "Hi Sev how was shift"Matt asks. "It was busy but the best thing is we've got a couple of days off now"Kelly said. "How's Louie doing"Stella asks. "He's okay we're off to see him before we meet up with Brett and Antonio"Matt says. "It sounded really urgent when we spoke earlier"Kelly says. "What are you doing in the next few days"Matt asks. "Nothing apart from working"Kelly says. "Is it to do with Laura"Stella asks. "Yes it is"Matt and Gabby both say.
"Chief told us that Brett is with Antonio and the kids in Wisconsin"Stella says. "Theres no easy way to tell you this"Matt said. "Laura died two days ago at 16:45 from her injuries and a cardiac arrest"Gabby said. "We're both very sorry to hear that"Stella and Kelly both say. "We were both at my brother's house earlier and Laura left a letter"Gabby said. "What did the letter say"Stella says. "The letter said 'Upon My Death Funeral Arrangements'"Matt said. "What's in the letter that's got to do with me tho Matt"Kelly said. "Laura detailed everything for her funeral"Gabby said. "One thing that Laura mentioned at the very end was the Pallbearers and who she wanted to carry her coffin"Matt said. "Am I in the letter"Kelly asks.
"Yes Laura wants us two to be part of the Pallbearers"Matt said. "I'm good with it we need to honour Laura"Kelly said. "I'll be coming to if thats okay"Stella said. "We'll be in touch with everything hopefully before tonight's over"Matt says. "Say hello to Louie and everyone"Stella says. "We better be off now"Kelly say. As Kelly and Stella leave the hospital Gabby and Matt rejoin there families while Antonio and Brett have arrived at District 21 and they walk upstairs together where everyone is working. "Hi Antonio sorry for your loss"Lindsay says on behalf of everyone. "Thanks"Antonio said. "Why don't you go home and be with the kids"Voight asks."the kids are with my parents at the hospital I've actually come to speak to you Halstead and Olinsky"AAntonio said.
"Olinksy Halstead can you both come in here please"Voight said. "How's Eva and Diego taking this all Brett"Voight said. "Eva is taking it the worst"Brett said. As Halstead and Olinsky walk into Voight's office and Brett closes the door behind them. "What do you want us for boss"Halstead asks. "Actually I need to ask you 3 something on behalf of Laura"Antonio said. "We found a letter detailing what she wants for her funeral"Brett said. "What did the letter detailed"Olinksy said. "I'm just going to come out with it"Antonio said. "Okay"Voight said."Laura has put you three down as Pallbearers"Antonio said. "Laura was family the decent thing we can do is honour her wishes"Halstead said.
"We've known Laura for over 10 years the least we can do is honour her"Voight said. "I agree boss"Olinsky said. "We'll be in touch shortly with more details"Antonio said. "We're meeting back at ours with Gabby and Matt as we've got to go through the rest of the letter"Antonio said. "Why don't you stay here for a bit and take some time out"Voight said. "We're all here for you Antonio and the kids"Olinksy said. "Eva and Diego will get through this they've got all of us around them"Halstead said. "Thanks guys I think I'll take that cup of coffee"Antonio said. "Do you want a drink Brett"Halstead asks. "I'm fine Halstead"Brett said.
