"Welcome home buddy"Matt and Gabby both say. "Thanks mom and dad"Louie says. "Why don't we get him inside"Ramon says. "Yes please"they all say. While Louie is getting inside and settled back at the hospital Nancy is undergoing tests on her brain and her entire body. While they move her slowly through the machine and what slowly comes on the screens is the unthinkable of things that someone doesn't want to go through let alone talk to the family. "Is that a tumour that's attached to her arteries"Doctor Rhodes said. "Yes"the radiographer says. "Let's check the rest of her body over"Doctor Halstead says. As the machine moves down her body they're both relieved that there doesn't seem to be anything else. "Let's just go over her brain and determine the exact location it's in"the radiographer says. "I agree"both Doctors say. "I'll be back laterI've just been paged"Doctor Huger says. "Speak later"Doctor Halstead says.
As Doctor Huger leaves the room the radiographer does more in depth scans of Nancy's brain and they realise that the tumour is right next to her Hippocampus but they're not exactly sure how big it is. "We need to get her to theatre straight away so we can get a biopsy done"Doctor Rhodes says. "Thanks Doctor"Doctor Halstead says. "I'll get these printed off to go in Nancy's medical records while you two take her to theatre"the radiographer says. "We'll operate on Nancy then we can talk to her family who's at home"Rhodes said. "I agree but we need another Doctor at least and a Nurse"Doctor Halstead said. As Doctor Halstead as paged Doctor Ethan Choi and Nurse April Sexton to come to the Theatre Ward as he and Doctor Rhodes transfers patient Nancy Casey from the MRI Scanner to Theatre 2 where Doctor Ethan Choi and Nurse April Sexton are outside waiting.
As Nancy is wheeled into Theatre Room 2 already intubated as Doctor Choi Doctor Rhodes Doctor Halstead and Nurse Sexton are all scrubbing themselves as they're all helped in getting the masks and coats on while over with Christie and Sean who are at home waiting for there nephew Louie to be able to FaceTime. "Have you heard from your mum since you've been discharged from the hospital"Sean asks. "Not recently"Christie says. "Why don't you try and see if she answers right now""Sean says. "I could try"Christie says. As Christie dials her mom's number and all she gets is the voicemail. "Your mom not picking up"Sean says. "No"Christie says. "She must be asleep or doing her physio session"Sean says. "I'll try again later before I go for my appointment"Christie said. "Thats a good idea love"Sean says. "Why don't we watch some TV for a bit"Christie said. "Why not"Sean says.
As Sean and Christie watch TV over at the Casey house Matt as been worried as he can't get hold of his mum unbeknownst to the family is intubated and now that the Doctor and Nurses are all ready in there clothes as Nancy is now on the operating table and with here head in place using a stereotactic head frame as the Doctor can now shave her head as it had grown back since she came in from the accident scene. As her head is shaved and in place Doctor Rhodes puts the solution on her skin which means everything is ready for the 4-6 hours procedure. "If everyone is ready we'll proceed with the operation"Rhodes says. As Nurse Sexton continues to check Nancy's breathing as Doctor Rhodes makes the very long incision and as the skin is stretched allowing Doctor Choi and Doctor Halstead grabs the Retractor set Tool to moves the organs over so Doctor Rhodes can find the Hippocampus then the Tumour can be located and be removed.
"I think I've located it"Rhodes said. "Thats good"Doctor Halstead says. "Yes it is"Doctor Choi says. "How's her breathing Sexton"Doctor Rhodes asks. "Her breathing is very stable for now"Sexton says. "I need suction right here please"Rhodes asks. "Got it Doctor Rhodes"Doctor Choi says. As Doctor Choi suctions away the blood as Doctor Halstead and Doctor Rhodes can now get the tumour out especially for a biopsy test while over at the Casey's Louie as fallen asleep in the arms of his daddy as his mother is sitting right beside them holding his 1 month old baby sister Andrea as Violet is sitting at the dining table and she's got all of her paper pens and crafts out ready for when her dad wakes up. "Violet what are you up to"Matt asks. "I've got some stuff out for when my dad and I do together once he's awake"Violet said. "Thats a great idea"Matt says.
